can you look and see if you bought anything out of the ordinary apart from the 1p items??
I wonder if they are trying to catch up with members of staff rather than member's of the public, but obviously not able to do so without involving the public..... Take no notice of me, Im just waffling on about something and nothing...
Do you know anyone who works there? have they seen you talking to a member of staff??
Don't know and never have known anyone that works for t's. Closest to this would be seeing some people in my local who i know went to my school, but never knew them then and don't now.
Other things on my receipt, all normal purchases, clothes sale and items from reduced bin (non-food). One item came up as recalled, no biggie clothes sale stuff, def the chocs (but can't post why, too many eyes, lol)
Didn't get refused sale, didn't get queried instore on either occasion.A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. I'm in my own little world, but it's ok the people like me here

1. Do Ts even understand what insider trading is?
2. So it's ok for staff to know and purchase 1p items but not the public?
I've been denied 1p items in the past with many pathetic excuses but the corker was "we'll get sacked if we sell 1p items". Just a couple of weeks ago I was trouted on the 38p Cars pencil case and 2p Bandz. The CO manager simply said if that's what Ts want to charge then who is she to argue.
Honest to god, they really are a bunch of muppets.
Lol :rotfl::rotfl:in one store ages ago, the manager gave me 2 items that were not on file, nothing special & no biggie, but she said she couldn't find a price so i could have them, put them in a bag & told me her name in case anyone questioned me :rotfl:A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. Just read on HUKD that some 'Febreeze set & refresh 60 days' are scanning for £1.25 - just the apple one I think.
But this can be used with the £1 SSM coupon making it 25p!"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -
I'm pretty sure that's wrong
The Consumer Protection Act 1987 says it is a criminal offence for a trader to display misleading price indications. If prosecuted, a company can face a maximum fine of £5,000 for each individual offence.
A price indication is misleading if it conveys, or if consumers might reasonably be expected to infer, that (s.21):- The price is less than in fact it is;
- The applicability of the price does not depend on facts or circumstances on which its applicability does in fact depend;
- The price covers matters in respect of which an additional charge is in fact made;
- Some person, who in fact has no such expectation, expects the price to be:
- Increased or reduced, whether or not at a particular time or by a particular amount; or
- Maintained, whether or not for a particular period; or
- The facts or circumstances by reference to which the consumers might reasonably be expected to judge the validity of any relevant comparison made or implied by the indication are not what in fact they are.
Unless the law has completely changed since i studied it (which wasnt that long ago), Penny/Consumer direct is correct.
SELs are considered '"ïnvitations to treat". They are not binding offers and the store is not bound to sell things at the SEL price. Most store do this as a gesture of goodwill.
most of our everyday transactions are really under Sale of Goods Acts and laws of contract. CPA 1987 is usually applied to cases of property buying, services, etc.
happy to be corrected if I am wrong0 -

I agree with caz, I don't see as it makes any difference even if fudge was told by a member of staff how much the items were and where they were in store. That's no different to being told the price and location of any item. (The fact that fudge was passed no information by staff is irrelevent.)
Items were purchased at the price that Mr T's set. I also don't see the relevence of whether any dtd's had been had at that store in the past. Their pricing is their problem. If they get it wrong and don't want to give dtd, then they shouldn't have such a policy.
This whole situation is farcical. As for the crime ref not being given, if you were to phone the police I suspect you'd be told that they have no idea what you're on about! Since when was shopping a crime?! If Mr T's really did phone them, I suspect it'd be more likely that they'd be investigated for wasting police time!
Honestly, what a bunch of morons!Gwrys yn Kernow! :j0 -
