If that was me, I would print out the Daily Mail 1p item feature (i'm sure someone has it one here) and march down to the store and demand to see the manager, wanting to know why you where accused of theft and what exactly you had done wrong, apart from pay the price asked by Tesco'd for items on its shelves. If I didn't get a satisfactory apology, the ban recinded and some kind of compensation then i would be calling the daily Mail reporter who wrote the 1p article so they could do a nice big spread on it.

Did you use your CC, I try not to for 1p stuff. I paid for my find other day at SS and stuck my pennies in to look up and see a security guard standing at end of tills. Did make my heart go a bit.

Yes, used cc :doh:, that's how they tracked me down. But on normal shop, not penny shop. Paid for the penny chocs in cash too.
Stupid thing is, no-one stopped me from buying them. Twice!!!!!!!

fudge2, I'm assuming you don't have any access to T's pricing systems and that you weren't working in collusion with a T's employee. That being the case, I can't see how this could be a police matter. If I were you I think I'd like to know if they have really reported this to the police or not, and if so, to whom. If they haven't, that is bullying and intimidation by this member of staff. I'm glad you got her name.

They got my name and no through my clubcard, and yes I know the name of the person who called. I have come across that manager before.
I had a suspicion they were watching me when I was walking around, so I browsed by the security desk and almost made him jump out of his skin :rotfl:

They wouldn't discuss police thing, just hung up :mad: and claim photo is off security camera (glad I was wearing my hat )

I would have produced the 1p article, if i'd been challenged. Would also just have left the chocs if they moaned.

I don't even know any t's employees :rotfl:which is why I asked her to explain herself, which she refused to do.
I quite agree about the bullying Lutzi. But they refused to discuss the police thing and just hung up.
They also addressed me by my first name :mad:
I know exactly which manager it is, and store is not that local, so not easy to just pop back. It is one of Nerfdads locals.

:eek: oh fugdge2 thats awful! they sold them to you at that price though? its not like you shop lifted them or anything! if anyone bought something for 1p im sure they would go back to the store and buy alot more! thats horrible, hope you get it sorted out ok

Good point, have you checked the name of person with the store. You would not have to give any other details.
