My OHs old car was exactly the same but confirmed with them that it would still be covered. Never had to try it out though but give them a call or even better a mail to get it in writing

I registered with Auto Aid about 2 years ago and have had cause to use them twice in the last 18 months. Each time the roadside response was swift, payment was easy (by card) and repayment of claim was prompt (approx 10 days). Can't fault them!0

Thanks for posting this, Savvy Shopper.

I nearly signed up for this until I read their definition of vehicle which restricts the maximum engine size to 2500cc. I wouldn't have noticed that if I hadn't read the Full Policy Document. Any valuer alternatives which don't have an engine size restriction?0

It doesn't; -
The vehicle – a saloon car, hatchback, estate car,
car derived van, motorcycle or motorised caravan under
2.5 tons gross vehicle weight and with an engine
capacity of no more than 2500 cc.
The 2500 limit is for a motorised caravan.
Phone them and ask for confirmation, it is just the way they have worded the document, I pointed this out to them last year and they said they would amend the wording, but obviously the haven't.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Actually, I interpreted that as ANY vehicle with an engine size no more than 2.5L. Not just motorised caravans.0

Your interpretation is wrong, I had the same last year and contacted them, and if I remember correctly, the vehicle cc as no restriction, as I said, phone them and ask.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

I wasn't arguing, but that's good to know. Thanks Derrick. It would be good if AutoAid revised this clause to make it a little clearer.
Wasn't saying you where arguing
I have just phoned them again, the limit of 2.5 tons and 2500cc is for motorcycles and motorised caravans, the other vehicles have no limit.
They have again told me they will look at it and amend the wording/punctuation.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
