my joliebox has come too. will post INs later on. think this one is def going, they all seem to just pass products around themselves now, 2 of the ones we got are previous GB offerings. only going to get Amarya next month, they are the only ones without a repeat product now!

I have a UU :j Superdrug Morrocan body souffle that they were selling off cheap last summer, I think it was 29p or something ridiculously cheap like that!! WBA nice texture, sank into my skin well, nice scent. I do have some more to use first :D

What a glorious day, just like being on holiday except I have to work:mad:

INs from my ebay order two weeks ago that I've been playing with:

Missha Perfect Cover BB in 13 & 21
    Petite Essential BB
Skin79 Super, Super+, Diamond, Diamond Pearl BB
Etude House Golden Ratio (high beam knock off!)
All in the smallest sizes as I knew they wouldn't all suit me, so 5-20ml. Plus loads of samples!

I'm not just pale, not even "omggg i'm soooo pale!!", I really am horrendously pale (NC10 is too dark, even Lily Lolo porcelain is too dark some days) and cool toned so anything too dark looks even worse. Missha in 13 and Diamond Pearl are still a bit too dark but they're the most luminous of the lot so you can't actually tell without inspecting really closely in the right light. Missha 13 also feels lovely on. Missha 21 & Petite BB are way too dark and Petite BB is a bit orangey, so one will go to my Mum and the other will be for summer when I get my hands on Mister Radiant Body.
Super+ is thick, dark and matte. Hmmm.
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:
  • Really sorry about your breakup trudij, it sounds like you're being positive about it so that is good :) I used up my Lush Gentle Lentil solid shampoo the other day - WBA as was moisturising and smelled of white chocolate!

I have a very long awaited UU and so pleased that its finally gone.

UU Cowshed Cowslip Hand Cream 50ml - WNBA got this as a magazine freebie last year and really hated it, so glad its gone.

On another point it seems I have lost my John Masters Lip Calm from the Amarya beauty box already. I think I've mentioned before that I have a habit of losing lip balms really loved this one so not happy. I will keep looking though and hopefully will come across it soon, I have plenty of others to use in the meantime.

I have a slight nail dilemma. My nail colour I had done last week is starting to chip, so want to change it, but I had a badly broken nail which she glued back together (using nail glue and a bit of cotton wool fibres). I'm worried that if I take the nail varnish off the nail will come unglued and its broken really high up. I suppose I will have to stick with the tatty varnish a bit longer unless anyone has a solution.

ANYWAY - FAR more imprtant than my broken heart - does anyone know roughly how much gel nails are, and can you have a french manicure in gel?? Just thinking about when i go to aintree - im going up on the tuesday and staying there till the sunday, so need something that I can hopefully keep on all that time, that will last through me doing horsey things as well?? I dont do nail bars very often at all, so I have no idea what to ask for - I love the minx nails, but think they wil be WAY too expensive??

Yes, you can have a French gel mani, well at least in Bio Sculpture Gel you can. It usually costs more though. They cost £20-£30 and about £7 to be removed... Minx are about £20.

Really sorry to hear that Trudij - sounds like you've been preparing yourself which hopefully made it a little easy but still rubbish! Stay positive as you are and just think its to make way for something better which I know is easy to say but I'm sure it will be

I have gel nails and they're around £35 for a full set I think, I pay £26 every three weeks for a backfill, I know you can get them cheaper but the girl I go to is really good and I never have a problem with them lifting or breaking. You can have them in french manicure where the tip itself is the white part or clear tips with white gel painted over or the coloured gel is really nice and brilliant that its unchippable if that's even a word! :rotfl:

I've a few sneaky IN today, the last No. 7 voucher finally burnt a hole in my pocket and I got Beautiful Skin Foaming Cleanser which I'm really looking forward to using, has some good reviews on the website. When I don't need any makeup I tend to use the vouchers for the wipes but I think they've changed them recently and although very effective at removing makeup they feel a bit scratchy to me.

My second IN coincidentally was face wipes, Boots Vitamin E, really like these, they smell lovely and are good without being at all scratchy, the Vitamin E range was on offer two for £4, toyed with the idea of the night cream but got two packs of wipes in the end. Work has been very heavy going this week, had to let a really lovely lady go today as she was struggling with a temporary role and felt like a mega ruthless cow which hopefully I'm not so felt the need to treat myself a tiny bit!!

Weekend is in reaching distance :T

    Enjoy your evening everyone.

Ps I've forgot one more tiny IN - a sachet of Clearasil Perfectawash which arrived in the post today, I'm blaming ItzyBitzy I think it was for this one for leading me to the FB page! :rotfl:

Hi everyone have a couple of UU to report -

Nivea 24 Hour Roll on Deo - WNBA wasn't really that effective and it was a bit sticky really

L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara - WBA if it was on offer. Gave me lots of volume and made my lashes look really good.

Lush Summer Fruits Soap - WNBA, will explain below.

Skin 79 BB Cream - WNBA, it's actually a TA because it's just not good for my skin and turns me into an even bigger oily mess than I am usually.

I posted elsewhere in the Beauty Forum that I was having problems with my hair falling out and a really irritated scalp. Well I did a bit of research online and discovered that it might be caused by Sodium Laurel Sulphate (SLS). So I went and bought the L'Oreal Everpure shampoo and conditioner in Boots because it was on offer (oh and it's an IN to declare!) And after 1 use, my scalp has stopped itching and my hair isn't frizzy any more! It's still falling out, but no where near as much as it was before. If it's making my hair so good then I want to try SLS free body washes too (hence not buying the Lush soap any more). Luckily the cleanser I use is SLS free already!
