Hi

I've been comping as a hobby for years - it all started with the postcard entries before the internet !

I have a number of operations on my legs so during my recovery I have had plenty of time on my hands and generally comp full time. I had a couple of wins in 2010 - Alfred Hitchcock dvd set and an electric guitar signed by Gomez, but nothing since then.

I'm currently off work again and enter on average 200 comps a day and have done since the begining of March - usually going towards the final date of the comp . Please send a bit of luck my way too )

i've been looking for a confirmation of a win from you with hope
i think you should try and enter more comps...
people tend to say they enter 50+ a day but i think you you should try and aim for more like 200+ as that seems a realistic, if somewhat underestimated, number for regular wins.

trust me the more you enter, the more you will win! If you're worried about being a boy either enter a lot of blogs and play on this or just use an initital and not your full name e.g 'm smith' instead of Martin, or Martina Smith

i hate the way that people on here insist they only enter about 50 a day...it's just not possible to win a lot on that! :rotfl:

I am still very new to comping, I started around 2-3 months ago and have managed to work my way up to around 100 comps per day and so far I haven't won much;
1) 4 Rice Krispy Squares - from the mine which was easily done.
2) Nikwax Tent waterproofer - answered a few questions right.

Although these wins were small and easily achieved (along with any freebies I received) they have helped keep me going picking a competition such as #2 the answers were easy to find if you got all 8 (I think) correct you won a prize and can win another in another 3 months....It isn't the most glamorous prize nor one I particularly wanted but it helped keep my hopes up.

Also I would suggest creating a FB account if you haven't already, I have only just signed up for twitter and realised how many comps I had been missing!

I hope today is the day when the postman brings you a nice big fat win!

i feel that way too!:rotfl: I enter about 200 a day during the week & then probably about 300/400 on weekend days depending on how i am feeling or if i am busy.
I also try to do a couple of pages a day of the end of months as by the end of the month there is usually over 100 pages of comps finishing!

I have no idea to be honest how many a day I enter, perhaps I should count how many I've marked entered in a 24 hour period? I spend about two hours a day going through the days comps and entering, I think. Not including FB stuff. Never kept track

I'll count today and see.

Iv entered 1000s of coms now for the last 8 months and not won a thing im beging to lose heart maybe ill take a break for a while keep thinking one might be on its way

Long time no update! Well, I finally won something... BUT.

I won a Fire and Ice experience, I think from this post: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3964491

But due to an unfortunate combination of things, I am unable to go by the deadline. As the prize was in the form of a code, I asked around to see if anyone else wanted it and could go, but no one else was able to either. So I emailed them back to tell them to give the prize to someone else so it didn't get wasted, but never heard back.
