uninstalling old printer software - wasn't sure on that due to computer being an HP didn't want to uninstall something wrong

can't find Java icon

click startup tab

untick the O4's mentioned

avoid installing chrome and remote control with avast 7

look in control panel printers, what have you got? Hp deskjet/photosmart/officejet software is installed, and you have a HP ink monitor running at startup

I now understand how to update it but where do I find Java on the computer to be able to update it, it isn't in Programs???

ran msconfig but when I click startup tab there are no O4's mentioned there at all , just waiting for avast to finish updating then will have another look

The other things still enabled under the startup are as follow they don't have full command so I can't tell what's what and don't want to disable something I shouldn't!!

just disabled those in red above rebooted computer and got the following message
