    start, run msconfig

    click startup tab

    untick the O4's mentioned

avoid installing chrome and remote control with avast 7

look in control panel printers, what have you got? Hp deskjet/photosmart/officejet software is installed, and you have a HP ink monitor running at startup

ran msconfig but when I click startup tab there are no O4's mentioned there at all , just waiting for avast to finish updating then will have another look

  • Ooooo heck

just disabled those in red above rebooted computer and got the following message

    System Configuration Utility
You have used the SCU to make changes to the way Windows starts
The SCU is currently in Diagnostic or Selective Startup mode, causing this message to be displayed and the utility to run every time Windows starts.
Choose the Normal Startup mode on the General tab to start Windows normally and undo the changes you made using the SCU

Yhen it has a check box with the message next to it
Don't show this message or launch the SCU when Windows starts

    then an OK button

    What do I do
