    Hi folks,
Haven't had time (or energy) to post for a couple of days and have also been feeling a a tad down - but don't really know why:confused:
Think like poohbear I really need (want) a holiday. We do have one booked though - our first with DS, DDiL & DGDs - not sure how much rest we'll get then, but I will love it, as they live so far away.

It may just be that this challenge is coming to an end and we are going into the mourning stage!! (There's some of my group work psychology for you!!)

I haven't spent for the last few days, but DH has been away for a couple of days & needed to borrow money from me, so that hasn't helped my mood:eek: I will get it back, but it is all the juggling around in the meantime! He is self employed now & work has been slow for a while but I'm pleased to say that he has a few jobs coming up:j

So, I've given myself a shake and started dreaming about what I'm going to buy during my 'week off'

    Chocolate first - obviously
& take some treats in to work I think

I'm toying with the idea of a couple of pamper things - like a manicure/pedicure, but it depends if I can justify the spend - as I have spent the last 4 years with an awfull toe nail infection & now got rid of it I would love to show off my feet this summer!
Anyway - I will dream until Friday!!

Keep going all of you - particularly if this is the pay DDs time of the month - we can do it!!

How about a pamper evening with some friends, get together round someone's house, couple of bottles of wine and some nibbles and do each others nails etc.

:T Only a few days to go, and I bet you thought it couldn't be done. The challenge has had an effect on my spending as well, even though I havn't been taking part. Martin says "no", and the "unnecessary queen says no", have all entered my subconsciousness, as has the phrase "thinkaboudid"in a faux Bronx/italian accent. Pause for thought
can you think in an accent?? Well done to all participants.....:grouphug:
Are those shopping bags you're carrying really bags of debt???

I just spent £3.30 on hot cross buns at the post office - we have a child staying who is allergic to dairy products and I'd completely forgotten to get in any suitable breakfast supplies so had to nip out to very expensive local shop. Annoying.

i think us lot are definitely living in sync somehow through the media of an online forum!!

i too haven't posted for a while .. been feeling so bl**dy fed-up, busy, tired blah blah blah that i just haven't had the inclination nor energy to do so!! what do you think we're suffering from???

i wasn't even going to post today until i saw that ciara, pippo and seaxwyn have all been feeling the same way.

i've been the that dangerous type of mood that would have previously driven me to spend, spend, spend ... but, somehow, don't ask me how, i've resisted it. i have however broken my other lents and have eaten chocolate and wheat and the weight watchers went completely out of the window but today is a new day and i'm back on track and glad to see the rest of you are all doing well.

can't wait to start our new challenge ladies ... bring it on!!!

Spooky that our emotions are harmonised. Please someone post that you are feeling GREAT so it can rub off on the rest of us.

I got £50 cashback today from the PO for buying their car insurance but I can't pay it off a debt as we need it for various bills. I'm upset as I've made lots of 'extra' money this year through ebay, carbooting etc, and yet it's all been swallowed up in daily living rather than debt repayments. Sorry to post that little moan but it's on my mind today.

Back to the challenge - I've got to buy some Easter eggs as we're going to do a hunt on the big day (my friend who keeps chickens will supply plenty of real eggs to hide - I just want to indulge the children with some chocolate ones too!)

Also I'm going to buy an Easter card for my elderly aunt as I need to write to her anyway.

Apart from these seasonal spends I should make it to the end of Lent without opening my purse.

    I feel great!
I just picked up my car from the garage and the bl**** thing's cost me £560 but thanks to Martin and this site, I got a cheque for £126 mortgage fee return today and thanks to having learnt how to live with little money, I've got savings to cover the rest.
On top of that it's a beautiful day today... and......... we can buy something unneccessary soon :easter_ba
