However I am having serious guilt issues already....see what you've done CAFTGirl  I am now looking at my budget guiltily and thinking it's way too much whereas I wouldn't have given it a second thought before and would probably have taken my card as well...see I'm not even planning on taking that either. AAAaaargh :D

I can relate to that. I overheard a couple talking in a charity shop earlier. She saw something and just HAD to get it despite not knowing where to put it, but it was cute...

I just thought, that was me a month ago..... now I only buy things if I really need them. Thanks CAFCGirl :A

  • I survived 2 shopping trips with the BF and still have 13p in my purse. We did the local charity shop run this afternoon and I found a book that I've been after for ages so he bought it for me :)

    Well gang,

Wasn't around much yesterday as was knackered from work, and had to have "conversation" with the BF....never pretty

But anyway, hopefully all sorted out now and I'm just getting ready to go to work again! So my spending should be non-existent today :)

That and have planned night out with the girls from work but it's next saturday when this challenge is all over, and should give me a lift to carry me through with the new budget.

Quick question, is anyone else noticing problems with DD's and transfers this month?
I've got a transfer between two accounts which is supposed to go through on the 28th and it's still not showing in the account.....

I've noticed it for the last few months. DDs rent money leaves her account on th 1st and gets to me on the 5th. Who's got it in the meantime???

Good luck tomorrow, ciara2712. You'll be fine!

There has been a problem with BACs running slowly for the last few days, my banks says that all should be sorted by Monday.

I knew about BACS being slow but I was presuming it was affecting wages from company accounts to individual accounts rather than anything else.

Oh well, hopefully it'll be in there monday then :)

Hope you have a great night out, you deserve it! My DDs are flying out of my account today no problem. Wish they weren't though. Now have a mega overdraft of £956 as a result of paying car bill. Some day I will be debt free!

one day we shall all be debt free!

Now bearing in mind my standing order is set up for the 28th it's left my account today (2nd) and is floating in the air from what I can tell as it's not in the other one!

    Random!
Everything for this month has now come out apart from loan payment, of which I apparently cannot change the date it comes out, even though it would be earlier, not later.
Oh the joys of modern day banking!

No spender for me today, and an earner day tomorrow as I have a mystery shop to complete! Woohoo

  • grrrrrr not happy with standing orders and direct debits. I have a standing order to go from my account to the joint account on the 1st of every month, and the mortgage goes out of the joint account on the 1st of every month.

Last month, my money going in was the first transaction on the 1st, this month my money going in was the last transaction, so in order to pay the mortgage it says our account went overdrawn !!! Not impressed. I'll be even less impressed if we get charged bank charges for it.
