\\\\For give me CAFCGIRL for I have sinned!!
Had a sh*** day at work - with inspectors in - didn't leave until 7.15 and got into car & petrol light flashing! I was so wound up (Due to work ISSUES!!) that I paniced & went to the more expensive garage on the way home AND bought a Twirl to chomp!!
My only saving grace is that I found a double loyalty points coupon in my purse & used that!!
I feel quite C**p now particularlly since catching up with the thread.
I guess that tomorrow's another day ..etc.. but!!
Anyway Seaxwyn perhaps you should consider the night out as 'invest to save!'
We may not always get it right, but at lreast thanks to CAFCGIRL we all now have some thought about what is necessary and what is not!
Imagine if all the people who sign up to Martin's news letter cut out unnecessary spends - what would that do to the economy and all of those ymega bucks those companys declare as profits!!0 -
well I think we can let a twirl go, as you did get DOUBLE loyalty points, so I guess the cost is balanced.....
Plus I never thought anyone would make it all the way through without a small slip...... the important thing is what we learn.......... and save
With all these thanks I keep getting, I feel I should have some sort of costume.......... maybe in lycra....... with a cape.............. oooooooh and maybe an eye mask too...... maybe a big £ sign emblem with U.Q across it....
Then again....... lycra........... my thighs........ I thinketh not.....

a chocolate muffin can always be forgiven .... just as well i'm not the "Unnecessary Queen" as you'd all be further into debt than you were at the start of this challenge ... Long Live CAFCGirl, Hail CAFCGirl ..
right, another day off work for me (had to use up all my holiday by end of march hence why i've had so much time off recently) and i'm off to the gym, then home to tackle the jumble sale room and then i think i'll make butternut squash soup ... doesn't sound that appealing at 8am especially when all i want is a big bowl of cereal but BF didn't bring home any milk and hell if i'm buying it (yeah i know it's an essential but i've got so used to him buying stuff!!!)Total debt as of May 2007: Tesco [STRIKE]£8499.65[/STRIKE] £7,333.57;

Me too ! I did the bank account shuffle this morning. Just need to work out now whether or not I can move my debt free date to Dec 2007 instead of Jan 2008Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
CAFCgirl - definitely a costume is called for!
pippo I like to think of millions giving up unnecessary spends all at once and Starbucks going bankrupt overnight!
It was interesting to read people's apologies for the odd muffin or twirl - which previously would have been bought unthinking - it shows we really have all made a mental shift in the short time we've been doing this.
I'm very jealous of you people with paydays! I'm self-employed so cheques turn up when they turn up and I never know when it's going to be. I've been waiting for one biggie since on 20 Feb so it's really late and I'm very fed up. I so want it to come today so I can include it in March's spreadsheet and update my sig.
I won't spend anything today - not going out (unless the long-awaited cheque arrives, but I've given up hope of that).
I will spend a bit over the weekend as I'm taking the kids to a National Trust place with a friend - will have to pay entry and something in the tea shop (will take picnic of course but the tea shop is part of the ritual). Also going for a walk and pub lunch with family on Sunday. I do budget for family outings because I'd hate my children to be totally deprived due to our debt.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Well Good Morning to all.....
Nothing planned for my day although I may try and make some cakes or soemthing as I've now developed cravings for all things unhealthy and unnecesary!
Damn hormones!
Another confession, I'm having a bit of a low day.... I blame the man from Abbey who has just been on the phone regarding my PPI on my loan. Why is nothing ever bloody easy!!!!
Was feeling pretty motivated last night with my mini project even started telling BF about it, till he just did a 180 on the conversation and it was suddenly all about him! I know he doesn't see my job as anything to write home about, ti's not like I'm stopping world hunger but I was a little bit stung. He must have guessed, and asked what was wrong and I said I'd been trying to talk to you about my work thing and we're back to talking about you now...
Bearing in mind I've spent the last week trying to help him out with letters and money management, talking to his mum, trying to do anything I can, and he couldnt even give me 10 mins of indulgence!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Oh well.... I'm sure it'll get better sooner or later.........Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Do you often go to NT places or have a few near to you? If you sign up online you get 25% off your first year. We have a family membership costs £75 for the year, but it is nice to know that we can go for 'days' out on the spur of the moment and it doesn't 'cost' us anything (picnic lover here to!). I also find that I am more likely to pop in somewhere for a couple of hrs, where as before I'd want to get there early to make the most of my money!Proud to be dealing with our debts - We WANT to be debt free DEC 09
Grocery challenge: £230 / £230 left0
