Giving up Money for Lent

Seriously annoyed now...
After the Abbey called me, I phoned the PPI cancellation department which he told me I should do.
Anyway, basically to cancel my PPI, I have to take out a new loan which would decrease my payments by £7 a month but I'd be paying it for one extra month.
Plus that was on their typical APR rate, and since mine is higher she said its more likely I'll get the same rate as my current loan.
So its actually going to cost me money to cancel the bl&&dy thing.

thing is my abbey loan is guaranteed to be accepted, and since I've moved, living in rented accomo', and dont have the greatest credit rating (whereas I did when I took out the first loan), any other application would be rejected.
I already tried that option few weeks back

Well folks - I've managed a Twirlfree day!!!:j
Still puzzleing why I chose a Twirl!!
Anyway - now all my nasty CCs are on interest free & I'm trying like mad to throw the no spend savings at them!!
I did spend £1.80 today - but that was fom my Christmas & B'day budget - I was in a factory shop to buy towels for work and they had these big baskets of all sorts of things for 20p & 50p - Heaven!!! - I bought little Winnie the pooh brush & comb sets for DGDs, a cocktail bar set, bath things & note books - I had worked it out at £4 ish 'cos a lot were from the 50p basket, but the lovely lady charged them all at 20p!!
The main thing though is that pre-lent I wouldn't have stopped at £4.00 I would have been around the whole place and have been lucky to have left without another £40 plus on cc. Now I only ever have the emergency £5 in my purse. In fact I can replace my spend from my penny jar.
Weekend planned to be no spend.
Friends coming over tomorrow and I have cheap French booze in the house so we don't need to go to the pub. Will make supper, but there should be enough in the freezer to sort that out. Don't even need to go shopping:j They are sure to bring extra things too 'cos they are nice like that! Only trouble is they are always so tidy!! So I will have to start now to get our house into shape! If all else fails will put out the lights and use candles so they can't see the dust:rotfl: (Using up all the unnecessary candles I have bought over the last 3 years!)
OH away from Sunday morning until Tuesday so may eventually get round to serious ebaying.
Anyway folks - enjoy a cheap weekend!

Then again....... lycra........... my thighs........ I thinketh not.....
You could just exclude your thighs from the costume:- like this..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Another no spend day for me.
The BF has said he wants to go to Borders tomorrow. I have been avoiding the place since it opened in Dec as it's my favourite bookshop and I'll just be tempted !! I only have 13p in my purse anyway, so I don't think there'll be much there I can get for 13p.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
My plans for the weekend...I'm not sure I should tell you actually....maybe I should....mmmmm....OK
I am spending  Yes, that's right I will be having a spending spree
I am out to a huge craft sewing fair for the whole day with my mates and I can't waitDon't worry it was planned and budgetted (£50 as I have 4 half finished projects) before I started this challenge.
However I am having serious guilt issues already....see what you've done CAFTGirl  I am now looking at my budget guiltily and thinking it's way too much whereas I wouldn't have given it a second thought before and would probably have taken my card as well...see I'm not even planning on taking that either. I bought 20 1st class stamps yesterday, which is probably unnecessary but I wanted to beat the price rise. Other than that another NSD!
DH is now rethinking spending as we have received a whopping car repair bill. Almost cheaper to buy another car!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
