postingalwaysposting I'm glad you stayed because I did after I spent on my friends present!
Ciara2712 sounds like it is great where you live. We were cut off this morning but by snow. I was worried because have no potatoes but have lots of flour to make bread if necessary! Anyway DH dug us out because they are all taking me to pub for Mothers Day. And being Catholic too can confirm can splash out on St Patricks day too. I went to pub last night listened to music and spent no money!! And they didn't throw me out for not spending, made me a cup of tea, probably feeling sorry for me!!
We don't have a mum but sister and I have Aunt who is fantastic and is like a mother to us so I rang sis and said we should do something or buy something and sis said she would pay 'cos she owes me so got beautiful plant sent for NS!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

oh my goodness what a night. We lost the electricity at 10pm and it came back about half an hour ago, was 100mph gales threw the night convinced a slate was going to come crashing threw the window! luckily theres very little damage this time.
Oddly enough its a really nice day now took the dog to the beach for a while. How many days do we have left of this challenge? ive lost count. Ta x0 -

We've done 21 out of 40 days yesterday and today doesn't count.
I can't believe all this stormy weather people had, we've just had some wind.He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

Blimey, only just over half way, it feels like we've been doing this challenge forever!
I slipped up today as I did a carboot sale with my daughter and even though I took a packed lunch and large thermos, she had consumed everything before 9 o'clock, so I had to buy two rounds of coffees and chips. However it came out of my sale takings and I wouldnt want my daughter to starve so I'm counting it as permissable.
But after that I went to Sainsbury's and spent £81 on food including some stupid 'off-list' items such as fruit winders and cartons of juice for the kids' lunchboxes. Why????? Also a bunch of daffodills for 99p but it was HUGE - about 4 bunches for the price of one as the store was just closing.
I haven't been allowing myself Sundays off but I think I will have to today.
Oh and optimist, here in Surrey we've had blilzzards of hail and snowTotal debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Just a very windy day with a brief monsoon style rainfall which lasted about 10 mins.
Bright blue skies but cold with the wind!
No spend for me today even though it doesnt count! Oh well good habits and all that.
Spending a couple of hours doing some batch cooking this evening to stock up my freezer with lots of loveliness.
Mumps- If you read this, Happy Mothers Day, hope you had fun watching the Addicks beat Newcastle!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
NSD for me. Decided to forfeit Tesco's for once and went to a local Turkish shop which always has lots of weird and wonderful things in there. However, stuck to my list and spent £17 on 4 big bags of groceries. Currently got two huge pans of vegetable soup cooking away ... like you CAFCGirl I'm batch cooking ... great minds and all that!!
Ohh and the dinner for 9 round my mum's went really well ... piece of cake really (I'm better cooking for loads than for 2 ... always over or under estimate portion sizes).
When are we ending this? Normally we'd finish lent after the Saturday evening mass so is that what we're doing here (i.e. evening of Saturday 7th?).Total debt as of May 2007: Tesco [STRIKE]£8499.65[/STRIKE] £7,333.57;

The Unneccessary Challenge £0/£10
Snowballing [STRIKE]£8499.65[/STRIKE] £7333.57. Debt Free Date [STRIKE]November '09 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]September '09 [/STRIKE] May '09- gonna try my hardest to make it sooner

Hi TO, I make it day 24 as of yesterday, but I am including Sundays - so is that why we dont match? When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0 -

If your counting Sundays too, then you should really count 46 days. Lent lasts for 40 days from Ash Wednesday to (this year) 6th April plus the Sundays.
I've just sat here with my diary counting the days (that's how sad I am :rotfl: ) and if you're counting Sundays, then today is 27/46. If you don't count Sundays then today is 23/40 (which means I counted wrong the other day too)
