Happy belated birthday CAFGirl :bdaycake: couldn't get online yesterday and just managed to read everything I've missed.
Had to do quite a bit of shopping this week, but all essentials. Had a look at all the magazines I would have bought, if it wasn't for the challenge and worked out that I have saved at least £12, possibly even more. Can't believe I'm wasting so much money every month - think I will stick to this challenge even after Easter..... allright, maybe buy 1 magazine..... or....He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

thats quite a saving just from magazines!
My suggestion would be............... sign up to the one magazine you love the most and get it on subscription, will save you at least 25% off the face value.
I did that, even managed to get a relative to pay for the subscription for a christmas presentWealth is not measured by currency0 -
ciara LOVE the rock on smilie!! he's sooo funny!!
NSD for moi ... had day off work so spent all morning down gym working my @rse off and then spent the afternoon book-keeping (as well as day job, i do admin and book-keeping for my brothers company).
BF just got the usual friday night fish n chips in and brother and fiancee gave me a bottle of wine from their trip to france today as a thank you for helping organise their wedding so pretty productive day.
no plans for the weekend apart from more gym and working for big bro (all my wages from him go straight into my wedding fund from now on so really putting in the hours). ooh and we're spending mother's day round my mum's instead of going out for meal which is lucky for me as i didn't budget for it. i've offered to cook the dinner (for 9!!!) to make up for not contributing towards it.
CAFCGirl ... b'day money logic completely makes sense to me (but i'm easily swayed!!)

well done everyone and brassiclint, good luck with that dinner for nine.
i've spent nothing today, I didn't take my purse to the school 'family day' assembly this morning as I knew they'd be taking a collection. Now I feel a bit mean as the collection was for Comic Relief.
This weekend I'll be doing a carboot sale if the good weather lasts. Happy weekend everyoneTotal debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Hi All, well thought I'd let you know about the cake scenario at work. Bought one slice for £1 and then said I only had £1 to give to the tea fund and they said that for my honesty (as they hadn't realised I hadn't given to the tea fund) that I needn't bother!! So I had another slice of cake and gave the £2 charity :rotfl: :rotfl:
Was saying to OH earlier this evening that I was fed up as I wanted a glass of wine and we didn't have any and I wasn't allowed to go and buy some. Went over to his mate's house and she had loads of wine - OH stated that we had none and guess what? - she didn't give me a glass - nope, she gave me a bottle :rotfl: :rotfl: So cheers m'dears:beer:
Not doing much this weekend; working in the morning, taking OH to church (sorry the pub) to watch the rugby, picking OH up from the rugby and on Sunday will watch DS PLAY rugby, see MIL for MD and then back to work on Monday - with not a shop in sight, so a nsw for meWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0
