Count me in - I think I might just continue with this challenge also.
One week until payday - with no more spends due - I have the following:
£69.67 in one account (usually overdrawn by some £200 each month:eek: )
£18.21 in bill account (usually overdrawn by some £90 each month  )
£42.35 in extras account (pays for brownies, english lessons for DS, school dinners etc) - although starting on packed lunches next week - 1st month of having this account - opened it for the challenge
£56.47 in CREDIT on credit card - (usually owe around £300/£400 each month)
£91.01 left in petrol account - (usually all spent and any left has been 'robbed' by this time:D )
So all in all - doing pretty damn well(oops sorry didn't mean to swear):o

[QUOTE CAFTGirl It has become apparent to me, that THE DEVIL (aka unnecessary spending!) takes many a form...... we mustseek it out and destroy it!!
Whose with me!? [/QUOTE]
Absolutely count me in :T I am definitely carrying this on because, even if I'm not as strict, and I can save at least half of what I think I have for this challenge (as it stays in the morgage one account and I didn't have a clue how much I frittered I'm not sure what I've saved) that'll mean even more off the morgageI've just re read it, does this make sense to anyone
..oh well it makes sense to me :rotfl:

Count me in too please - I'm up for the "unnecessary challenge."
I have just returned from a pre-planned trip to France and was over the moon that I still had money in my bank at the end of my pay month thanks to giving up money for lent!!
I also found myself not buying 'wants' in the French hypermarket & got really excited when I mastered the loyalty card resulting in cashback:j
I do feel a little guilty about having been on a jolly during the challenge, but also proved to myself that some of the no-spend habits are becoming ingrained!!
Well done to all of you.0 -

Pippo, you shouldn't feel guilty hun.
Its not the intention for people to go throughout life with nothing but debts debts debts going through their mind.
I'm glad you had a good time. Its important to have something away from the humdrum of paying it all back. Do you feel more motivated now that you've been away?
I spent last night being "taught" the logic of matched betting, I think I'm getting there but until I can confidently say that, I'm doing nothing!!!
Day off for me today and should be a no spender. Sky man should be round this morning so that I have more channels than just BBC1!
I've got to drop a dvd rental back to Blockbuster (the bf's) and thats about it really! Not much else planned at all....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I had a sorting out day yesterday so didn't check e mails and have really enjoyed reading all yesterdays posts.
One of the purposes of my sort out was to try to find some worming stuff for the cat. I found I have 8 packets of flea killer for dog and cat!! But no worming stuff! I think this challenge will teach me to be better organised. I could have sent some flea killer to Turnaround Sue!!
Please can I join if you continue into 'no unecessary spending', please?
Another no spend day yesterday. I got DD to by me some cheese at the co-op. When I offered her the money she said' I thought you'd given up spending for Lent'.I thought of cheese as necessary for packed lunches! So I didn't even pay for the cheese!!
My sons are going to Aldi with a list of things we need. And they won't buy anything that is not on the list. I really am 'loving it'.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
