RAC are currently offering an online discount so that you can get 1 year basic roadside cover for £28. Combine this with topcashback (£20 cashback) and you are only £8 out of pocket.

  • Yes, I'm with them. Haven't had to use them yet but very good price. Also cover is vehicle based so its covered whoever drives it.

I had a look at this site, and the prices are very good. My premium would have been £20 dearer, as my car is obviously older than yours.

    BEWARE THOUGH
Their service is provided br FirstCall Ltd at Cokchester, who have a TERRIBLE set of reviews on this website......

    Ooooops!! Sorry for that!

Looks as if Colchester might be a good place to break down if you're heading for East Anglia though. :D

Just cancelled my basic AA membership after many years. Never ever had to call them out (touch wood) and the past few years the renewal price has rocketed.

Will either move to the RAC though Quidco ( £8 !!! ) or I've also heard that SEAT dealers are doing an offer of 12 months free breakdown cover with every service.

Note that the RAC option is very basic cover i.e. no relay, no at home, no oward travel, roadside ONLY.
