I have had a Natwest goldplus charge card for twenty years. Does anyone know if there was any ppi on this type of card :)
If you had had PPI it would show on your monthly statement.
my question is - can my credit card company close my account in 'revenge'?
    No.
What "revenge" would there be in refusing to accept you as a customer paying them interest etc for, possibly, years to come ?

Apologies if this has been asked before. I have never had a loan or a credit
card. I was contaced by a PPI reclaim company and was a told that I could reclaim for PPI taken out on a mortgage I had taken out.

    Is this true?

    Do you have MPPI?
    Was it mis-sold to you?

Do you always believe scam companies that cold call you?

  • I signed up to a life insurance policy from a independant financial company back in 1999 and pay around £60 per month.

When i signed it did say they recommended IPB, I am still paying this insurance scheme and don't feel I can get out of it as 6 years ago I had cancer and although ok now I can't get a good rate on life insurance.

I have spoken to a PPI claim company who told me as it was a 3rd party and not the bank I don't have a case.

I understand from the comapny (Lincoln) that approx £20 is for IPB.
I can cancel this but feel that as it was not explained correctly and that it does not show as a seperate amount, plus the regular meetings (in the agreement) never happened that I might try my luck.

Any idea if I can claim or should I just forget about it.

The answer is right (you dont have a case) but the reasons are wrong.

IIRC, Lincoln never retailed their products through Independent financial advisers. They had their own salesforce.

You dont have a hope in hell.
    1) it isnt PPI.
    2) it is underwritten at point of sale (so cant use that excuse)
    3) you have a financial need for it
    4) you cant prove your allegation
    5) Lincoln reps were transactional. Not servicing.
    5) You never signed a contract to get servicing. Plus, Lincoln closed their doors and made their reps redundant. You certainly didnt pay for servicing.
    6) the product does not require servicing

I took out a loan with RBS around 3 years ago and have since had a look at the documents i had for my load agreement. While i couldn't see anything on there referencing PPI in any way (or payment protection etc), there wasn't much info on the documents i had. I sent off the std letter from the MSE website and eventually RBS came back to me saying they couldn't find my loan agreement.

While i was adivised that this doesn't mean my loan is void or anything, where does this leave me regarding PPI?

    Thanks

    Jonathan

Hi, sorry again but can anyone give me any advice on this?

    Thanks

You dont need your agreement to put in a complaint about PPI. If you have reasons for complaint then go straight to complaint.

My issue is that i have no way of checking if im paying PPI or not as the paperwork i have does not have any details of payments etc

Would like to check if i have a case rather than wasting my time

    Thanks again

No. The claims company is not them making a complaint. It is you making a complaint with them sticking a stamp on the envelope. So, you have already complained.
and take it to the fos

By the sounds of it you do not have access to the FOS as it is a pre 2005 case.
