Hi, im new to all this, in the past ive had a commercial mortgage with Norwhich & Peterborough, spread over 25 years, about 7 years ago i was fortunate enough to have sold my business and paid off the mortgage, my questions is, Was PPI mis-sold on commercial mortgages?
On the back of my mortgage statements it says important note, 3. MORTGAGE PAYMENT PROTECTION INSURANCE.

Was PPI mis-sold on commercial mortgages?
Anything can be missold. In terms of MPPI, it a type of PPI that is still retailed today and considered important. It suffers fewer issues than loan or credit card PPI and the number of sucessful complaints is lower than both of those types.
Nothing you have said in your post suggests any mis-sale. it would be considered quite normal to have MPPI with a mortgage. Do you have any reason to consider it being missold?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. No reason to think I have been mis-sold, was just watching this morning with Martin Lewis on it talking about PPI, so i thought I would just check.

Unfortunately, the PPI issue means that plenty of people with genuine decent policies that had a purpose are being questioned because 1-minute segments on TV do not give any chance to give caveats or mention things that were good and correct.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hello - is an SAR the start point if you can't find paperwork but know the companies? Also, if you want to show a previous address in the MSE credit club, how to do so as update settings only seems to allow you to put newer addresses in, not older ones. Thanks very much Humdinger0

The SAR is the option you use if you think the bank or firm is not giving you the correct answer. If you know the companies involved then you do not need a SAR. You just ask the company if you had PPI.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
