Can anyone tell me what is the normal length of time to wait for the redress letter. I have had a complaint upheld and was told in the letter I would have a redress calculation within 28 days im now on day 49 I don't know what to do next. The company in question is very evasive about when I am going to receive it any ideas???
Write them a letter and ell them you're going to to the FOS if they don't respod in a timely manner.
On the bright side, they have to pay you the 8% up until they refund you, so you're still earning money while they wait.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Thanks for that piece of info about the interest. I'm just feeling at a bit of a loss at the rudeness of the company. I rang them yesterday and I was promised they would ring me today of course they didn't ring surprise surprise. They said that my case was being audited does anybody know what that means in a ppi complaint that's been upheld? thanks for any info0

They're checking it was done properly.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Also if a complaint has been upheld is there a time limit for the refund to be paid or can the wait go on ad infinitum?? any info greatly appreciated0

Is that normal taff? what could the reasons be for it not being done correctly?0

It isn't that it is incorrect, an audit is to check it was correct.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Just popping in to say thank you for the Resolver Tool templates - I have just heard back from HSBC saying that the PPI Complaints Team are looking into it. On the back of the fact sheet attached is stamped 'Audit 2'.
It's been emotional for me looking through old paperwork. My late husband and I were absolutely broke when we bought our first house in 1987, and our bank manager was an arrogant and unpleasant man who enjoyed intimidating us. The worst thing was that he shopped in our local supermarket and would discuss our private financial affairs on the shop floor. I had to sell the small amount of jewellery I owned at the time just so we could eat, our mortgage was so expensive at the time at 16.5%. I am glad things have changed!
I'll let you know if I hear anything in the eight week period promised, I hope I don't have to go to the Ombudsman.£216 saved 24 October 20140 -
is it normal to have your case audited though?
Has anyoke got any idea what a noreal timescale is from complaint upheld to receiving redress calculation? any info would be gratefully received if I haven't heard anything by day 56 should I involve the omburdsman .0 -

Hey I have never posted anything before so I am probably doing this wrong but I am wondering if anyone has experienced this and how they resolved the issue.
I had previously claimed for ppi about 5 years ago myself and didn't get anything back. Since then over the last few months I was bombarded with phone calls claiming this company no win no fee could look into it more for me. So I went ahead thinking I didn't get anything before so what's the harm.
Anyway they got back to me and stated HBOS had agreed to a ppi refund and they would be putting it in my bank account.
So a few days later money was credited into my account.
As a single mother of 4 children I was delighted and managed to pay off a bill I had.
Nearly a week later I have now received a text from the claim company asking for their fee???!!!!
They never once text me or sent a letter to confirm they had not taken this before the money went into my account or tell me I would have to keep it in my account for nearly a week and then ask for money back?! I automatically assumed they had already taken the money as it was dealt with through them!!
I couldn't believe it as there was no information from them after I had received the money into my account that they still had to deduct funds from this as they had dealt with HBOS.
The money was fully spent the minute it went into my account so I wouldn't squander it and paid my bill.
I don't know what to do. I'm terrified as I don't have anymore money to give them!!
I still cannot believe they have done this.
Do they accept a payment plan to pay their fee?0
