    Hi

I had my Mis-sold PPI claim rejected because my original card application (Egg) was made online. At the point of application they did not give me advice. The policy started 05/10/07.

Has anyone ever been successful with this type of PPI claim or do they have any advice?

This means that you bought the insurance rather than being sold it. Almost impossible to complain it was mis-sold if no one sold it to you.

Buyer remorse is not a valid complaint.
  • I have just found PPI on a store card I took out in 2004 I have been made redundant twice in this time can I reclaim as I didn't know why I had this..
Also I had paid Ppi on a Capital One card when they sent me a copy of the policy the PPI box was not ticked they said I agreed to it on the phone and I was over 45, should I try again as I never agree money matters over the phone.

While you can certainly complain about your store card PPI, do note that it was purchased pre-regulation (2005) and you can be rejected on that point alone.

Being "over 45" has no bearing on your other PPI complaint. If your complaint was rejected then your next course of action should be to refer it to the Ombudsman if you remain dissatisfied. Your complaint is weak, however, as you can provide no evidence to support your statement that you never agreed money matters over the phone.

No. You can complain about a mis-sold ISA but you cannot reclaim a mis-sold ISA.

ISA mis-sale rates are very low. It is actually quite a hard product to mis-sale. Although some of the banks did manage it with structured products. Although they have largely got away with it as most banks pulled in 2012 and most of their structured product sales matured.

  • I'm in need of advice , in 1997 I used Toyota finance to get s car , I have no agreement no. I phoned Toyota finance last week , I gave them my address where I lived at the time , I couldn't remember the reg no. but was able to give them the reg no. of the 2nd car that carried through on the original agreement , they told me they had no information on it , they need an agreement no. What should I do now ?

Either provide the agreement number or give up.

Even if you had the agreement number, the sale of any insurance you may have had pre-dates regulation by eight years, so you faced an uphill battle from the outset.

... you can't actually remember what loans/credit cards you've had over the past 10 years? Sounds daft, but once you've paid a loan off or ditched a credit card for another, I don't tend to remember them! Is there somewhere that has a history, I tried Experian but it only showed what I currently have.
