HI. I think I I might have a claim & I have seen the MSE guides but if I am honest, I cannot / will not do a DIY claim so would probably have to use one of those services that are advertised on TV. But how do I know who is reputable & who is just a Del Boy trader?
Would appreciate some recommendations or a link towards such. Thanks0 -

Most providers have one or you can download it from this site in the article or the financial ombudsman site. Many claims companies just create their own version of that form, get you to fill it in (or ask you the same questions over the phone and they write it in) and then post it to the same address you would use.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Just an update - definitely worth nagging at the bank. With no further evidence They've finally capitulated and sent me a big fat cheque.0

Hi I have a problem with my ppi claim. Fist its in relation to a liquidated company. I applied myself and because of health issues I have only now been able to address and deal with it. My last letter from the bank is dated july 2014 and says:
They have carried out extensive search and found nothing that relates to my bank account and any ppi protection.
then went on to say in relation to HM Revenue & Customs Gurantee number xxx we cannot find any evidence of the details i have provided.
They then say they cannot keep records indefinately therefor if your payment protection insurance commenced over 6 years ago, any records may have been destroyed. Then ask me to give documentation as evidence that I had such a cover
Any advice please???0 -

If the sale was prior to 14th January 2005 and the company responsible is no longer trading and has no assets then there is no-one to complain to. Its game over.
Why have you written to your bank? The bank would only know its products. Not those sold by other people.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
