PPI Reclaiming Discussion Part 5

I was wondering whether it's worth putting in a ppi claim. Please could you advise me?
My partner has had several loans with lloyds over the years and has always paid off the balance and always taken out ppi. So in theory he could put in a claim for those?
However, the last loan he had with lloyds he defaulted on so my question is could they take any ppi money he is owed from the old loans and use that to settle the last loan that he defaulted on or can they not do that as the other original loans were paid in full?
Thanks in advance.0 -
If he has reasons for mis sell then he can put a complaint in, if any money is owed then any redress will be used to settle that first.0

So here we are guys restarting on this thread this post will just give you a post or two to latch on to.0

Natwest has told me I do not have any PPI on my numerous loans. Why should I believe them!
PPI was not just randomly added to loans without the knowledge and permission of the customer. Claims companies foster this myth in order to entice people who can't remember to sign up with them.I have requested copies and they do not show any PPI info or tick box options. Can I take this further?should they tell me who their underwriters are and can I check with them?0 -

So you clearly do not have it. If your agreements show no PPI and you didn't pay any more than the agreed re-payments, how do you think it could have been paid? Again, it's a claims company myth that PPI could be "hidden" in the interest.
Do remember that it's not somehow "wrong" to have insurance. The Banks have set aside (and paid out) £billions, so why should they lie to you? You say they have sent copies of agreements that show no PPI, so why are you so fervently disbelieving them? Even if you had PPI (which you don't), you'd still need to construct a robust mis-selling complaint in order for it to be refunded.
I'm certain they'll disclose this information, if you request it. However, from what you say, it will be an utter waste of time. You will never be refunded any monies you never paid in the first place.
Thanks I appreciate your response, not sure if I agree with why should I not believe the bank.
My additional claim with Barclays is with the FOS at the moment and I had no idea I was paying it on my barclaycard in the first instance (no extra payments or paperwork shown anywhere at any time). To be fair barclays did not refute I had it just that I hadnt been missold it. FOS have told them I do have a legitimate claim and their "extra" evidence is not good enough to contradict their initial assessment and decision. The only reason I know I had PPI was going through a CMS, worth every penny. I decided to go it alone with the other bank and on behalf of my husband etc as I know more (not much though). I just need irrefutable evidence from Natwest that we do not have PPI!0 -

PPI on credit cards appears on every monthly statement where your account has a balance. If it doesn't show then it wasn't paid for that month. The only reason I know I had PPI was going through a CMS, worth every penny.I just need irrefutable evidence from Natwest that we do not have PPI!
I can't help feeling you are wasting your time with this, especially as you are approaching it as if it's somehow wrong to have insurance and that the Bank will deliberately withhold information requested!0 -
Thankyou. Natwest has told me I do not have any PPI on my numerous loans. Why should I believe them! I have requested copies and they do not show any PPI info or tick box options. Can I take this further? should they tell me who their underwriters are and can I check with them?
Sorry. I do not understand what you are after.
1 - the bank have told you that you dont have PPI
2 - the documents show you dont have PPI
Yet you want to take it further because you dont believe your eyes or ears.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. (no extra payments or paperwork shown anywhere at any time).
In that case you couldn't be paying any PPI

Hi
I've received a cheque for 400.00 but not received a break down letter telling me my decision from the bank.
What should I do?0 -
