Please don't duplicate your posts.
That's exactly what I'm saying....we were advised that PPI was a compulsory condition of the approval? So who would be liable the adviser (Halifax) or the seller (countrywide)???
Apologies for duplicates. Like I said I'm a newbie.0 -

The CMC know that there are other loans with PPI from that lender because you told them so!
I understand what your saying and I know you " don't expect " anything, all im saying is why in 18 mnths have they only sent me a sars agreement now if they know for sure I have other loans.....surely they would have kept up with the contact if they believed I owed them money. They sent me a bill and I paid them that so to me that was the end of it. If in the end I have to pay them I will but im not giving it to them easily0 -

No, you have to do any such research yourself.

Hi all, I am a first time user so if I am posting in the wrong place please let me know.
I made a claim for PPI from RBS going back to 1997 and I had all the paperwork but the company I used said it was a no go.
Only yesterday a friend of mine told me of their successful claim to the same bank going back to 1994/5 and they had their money refunded no problems.
I have read on here about not using companies to make the claim for you but to do it yourself which I would like to do now and need the right info on how to go about this.
The company I used made me aware I was due around £4,500 in PPI charges.
If you can help me find the right way to go about this I would be very grateful.
Many thanks0 -
Hi
I am new to these forums and would like some help with a possible ppi complaint i may have
I have a Royal Sun alliance Mortgage payment protection, which i was monthly for. It is dated back to 1998 but i have the original paperwork and agreements.
I was thinking of taking this complaint directly to the FOS and let them deal with it ?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated :beer:0 -
