I originally told them I had more than 1loan but didn't have the numbers
So you are effectively withholding information from them in order to avoid paying them their percentage of redress you've already received?

No one here will recommend using a claims company, but you are breaking the terms of a legally binding contract by your actions and you can expect the Claims Company to act accordingly (although it may take some considerable time).

I wouldn't be comfortable spending that money if I were you, as the bill for it will eventually arrive...

You withheld information from them, not money.
Expect them to continue to chase you ...
  • I've just had letters from RBS, basically a questionnaire and loads of confusing questions. Had PPI but made a claim for unemployment so my loan was still paid. Will I be able to make a claim?

You can still complain the PPI was mis-sold (if you think it was), but any redress (should it be awarded) will have the value of the unemployment claim you made deducted from it.

So because of my stupidity of using a claims company im expected to " be honest" provide them with the numbers the bank provided ( off there own backs..the work was done by them ) and literally throw money at a company thatare clutching at straws 18 mnths down the line....this company has shown me a complete lacks of communication why should I respect there s?......they also did a credit card for me that wasn t upheld.....I explained why I didn t agree with the decision and also wrote the reasons and sent them to the company on the basis of " the signed contract I had with them....I m still waiting on a reply frpm that and most likely won't get one. ..if I had done this myself I would have heard from the fos and it would have been settled by now...
So yeah hard lesson learned and if I am keeping information then they clearly don't deserve it!

What would have happened if you had missed the payments on your loan if you did not have the cover ? - was it secured on your property ? - why do you think it was mis sold ?
  • I'm a newbie so here goes....

In 2006 we remortgaged with the HALIFAX. As my husband who was the main earner at the time was self employed we were advised by the HALIFAX that we would need life cover and PPI for the remortgage to be accepted.

Following their advice we took out life insurance with FRIENDS PROVIDENT and PPI with AXA COUNTRYWIDE INSURANCE SOLUTIONS.

We are still repaying both the PPI and life insurance and I now feel that we were missold this as PPI should be optional.

Please can anyone give me some advice of who to contact HALIFAX or AXA COUNTRYWIDE to reclaim my PPI?

    Many thanks

I'm not "expecting" you to do anything, I'm warning you that this isn't going to just go away.
The CMC know that there are other loans with PPI from that lender because you told them so!

The legally binding contract you signed with them now entitles them to a percentage of any redress awarded as a result of letters they wrote on your behalf to your lender.

    Keep ducking and diving...

Not on mortgages it doesn't. Only if they told you that the PPI was compulsory when it wasn't would you have a valid mis-selling complaint.
