I need help, my partner made a claim thru tsb, and they have made a offer but have said 2 of the claims they will only payout half the amount as the insurace was being taken out of his "joint" account??
He separated from his ex 6 years ago!! Evan thou the loan was taken out in his soul name can they do that?
His ex was not on the loan name it was just that the loan and ppi was coming out of the joint bank account .... they told him she can claim it ... surely thats not right? He asked them if his ex wife had of come out of work would have been able to claim andvthey said no!!0 -
Are you absolutely sure it's not in both names? And that it is definitely in his sole name?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Sounds odd to me taff, did not think they could do that if the loan was not joint.0

Hi there
has anyone had any experience with a rejection from FSCS Limited? Had put in a claim against London Scottish who are no more, via Financial services Compensation Scheme and they have rejected it. I do not agree the reasons they have rejected it, and was going to write back to advise my reasons for not agreeing and wondered if anyone else had any experience with them? Thanks

Hi all,
I wonder if someone could give me some advice, I've applied to First Plus for a refund of my PPI and have recieved an offer letter this morning, my outstanding debt is £15,188.72 and the PPI on the loan was £13,469.50, they have sent me an offer of £4032.63 refund as they said that was the amount of the PPI I have already paid for & I had not paid for the rest yet?? I originally got the loan out and it was secured against my house, so wouldn't I have paid for the PPI up front as it was included in the loan amount and not on a monthly basis??
There is also arrears on the account which is included in the outstanding balance above, would this affect it?
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated, thanks0 -

When you get front loaded PPI it get added on top of the loan the divided into monthly payments, so you will only get back how many months you have paid.
Have you got your loan agreement? it should show you how much PPI is a month?0
