Well today I had a telephone call from Nationwide about my credit card, she wanted to know about a sickness scheme that im in, i told her all about it, and when i said i joined it in 2002, she couldnt believe it, i said i get 6 months full pay and 3 months half pay and then my sickness scheme, she was stuned, and very nice, which makes a change, i felt she knew they mis sold me the ppi insurance and said u will here from us next week:o but what makes me laugh, i only submitted this claim 3 days ago and my loan claim has been 5 half weeks:(, i did say are u dealing with my loan claim and she said no, but i must say she was nice, so im keeping my fingers crossed

We started our journey of claiming PPI from the halifax at the end of jan this year - this was for insurance protection along side our mortgage. We received a letter a few days after applying, to say we should get a decision within 8 weeks, which will be up on the 26th March. In the post today we got a letter to say that following instructions received our Mortgage Repayment Cover is now cancelled. Our reasons for applying as a missold insurance was that we were told from the start that we wouldn't get our mortgage unless we took out this cover [even though we had both been in full time work for 10 years with the same companies -with no sign of our jobs going] and also we never knew that we could have shopped around for the insurance [and got it much cheaper ]. We started the mortgage in 1993. I hadn't cancelled this cover , I was waiting to see the outcome of our claim. Is it usually for them to just cancell it , and does this mean our claim is probably successful and we will hear from them soon? Sorry that was a bit long winded but wondered if anyone else received a letter like we had first and what happened next.

Hello everyone.
I want to make some claims for the mis sold PPI on a few things....mortgage/loans etc. and have a few questions
1. I was wondering what most of you do to start the ball rolling ie/ Fill in the "PPI Consumer questionaire" and send to the relevant company or do you just ring them up, or do you all just write an formal letter/ email.
2. I originally had a mortgage with Halifax, then swapped to another company, which in turn merged with another company, which then merged again, and we are now back with the Halifax. I have been paying PPI all this time plus another add on insurance for redundancy cover (seperate company)....who do I claim from ??? each individual company, or just the halifax ?0 -
Would just like to say thankyou to Di3004/Amersall for all your great help.
Well today i won my ppi credit card claim with nationwide, i only sent the form in on tuesday, a lady spoke to me on thursday and today ive had a offer, £1,201.17. I have loan claims going through with them and next week it will be 6 weeks, so i couldnt believe how quick the card claim came back, im hoping they are looking into all my loans that i had with them.
The offer is subject to me accepting(of course i will), it says about interest, they will pay up to 28 days, i dont know how much i will get, but im happy with the offer anyway. They are putting the money straight back onto my credit card, which im not too bothered because it will bring my balance down, but im hoping to win my loan cases, they will have to put the money into my account as i have no loans with them now.
Thanks again
Im keeping my fingers crossed for my loans now xx

Hi Ifcevans
You can ring the company you are claiming from, i did with nationwide, and they got the ball rolling then and there, they then sent me a ppi questionaire form for me to fill in, (the form you get off this site), but on some of my other claims i have just downloaded the form and sent it off.
Best of luck to you x
I won one claim today 5/6 more to go

If you have reasons for mis sell and have the account numbers, you can do any of the things you state above, some do claims over the phone and then send you a questionnaire to fill in or just do the claim without the questionnaire.
