Ive just checked the letter - it goes into details (2 pages long) at what they looked at to decide if the ppi sale was ok or not - it says wether i was eligible for it, wether it was suitable (employment status etc) wether the defined sales process was adheared to and features disclosed (ie i was made aware it was optional - i wasnt!) and wether their person made me aware of some details ref it being a single premium policy. It says they used all the info i provided plus all their info..
Then both letters (identical) say
"after taking all the above info into account i am unable to find any evidence that the PPI policy was mis-sold. Therefore i regret that i am unable to uphold your complaint.
This is my final response to your complaint and i need to make you aware that you now have the option of asking the FOS to review your complaint"
so no specific reason for refusal - seems that they are saying lack of evidence...but i have the original barclayloan protection insurance documents for both loans, and on one i have the original credit agreement and breakdown (it says "single premium payment to purchase Barclayloan Protection")....
Thoughts? Is it worth bothering with the FOS?
Thanks!!!
Did you have full and half sick pay if you were ill and did you have life insurance? all these help towards an uphold plus the front loaded, the FOS do not look too kindly on this ppi.0 -
so does that mean i have not got a case? thanks dean

Send these to FOS, the one agreement you have shows front loaded ppi, this is a mis sell put a copy of this in, tell FOS you want the proof that you were given the correct advice when you applied for these loans and that they were both front loaded, this may take time to get a result but do not let Barclays get away with this.
I missed this one, thanks Amersall!0 -

Everyone, after abit of advice if I have done the right thing. PPI Letter sent off to Santander a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I received a letter from Santander stating that I applyed online in March 2010. The strange thing is that they havent upheld it based on the fact I did the application online. Santander sent me a blank copy of the application form. I phoned them yesterday and they said they were unable to send me my own application as I needed to take the matter to the FSO. I wrote and posted the letter today. The other strange thing is that they sent me a blank application form with Santander on it, instead of an alliance and leicester one!. Sent all documents to FSO.
I dont know whether its a legitamate mistake or trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I definately dont remember selecting a ppi yes box
Send a Sar to Santander this will get all the info you need while you are waiting for FOS, do not forget to send copy of the blank agreement.
If they cannot find the agreement how do they know you did this online?.

It is the dealer that you go to, i thought it was mitsubishi that sold you the car,is that the garage you bought the car from and who are the colt car company?.
You put the mis sell into the garage you bought the car from, they sold you the loan and ppi, they should not pass the buck but if they do, let them know you will pass this to FOS to deal with as they sold you the loan and ppi not any other company. With Our Thoughts. We make our world - Buddha
