FOS can take over a year, I'd wait a while longer if I were you...0

Hi all i am hoping someone can answer my question/s!
Two things well three!
I have all the account numbers from Egg and Santander that i need from old current account statements, but not the original agreements for the loans or credit cards, do i need to do a SAR for the banks? ( I am unsure as to which loans/cards had PPI on them, there was definately PPI on some)
Secondly if i do need to do the SAR letters, both of which are ready to go do you know who i make the £10 cheque out to for the EGG SAR. The addrewss i got on here for the SAR was to EGG Data Protection manager so should the cheque go there or should the cheque be made out to Barclaycard now that they have taken over?
Thirdly: Odd one but if i was looking into bank charges regarding my current account could i put the SAR letter in with the bank charges data request with just one £10 cheque?
I am sorry if these are silly questions i think i may be overreading the forums!

You don't need the original credit agreements [they won't provide them for closed account anyway], but if you have no evidence you paid PPI or you don't know how much you paid, and you think you have a good case for misselling, it's as well to send a SAR so you can add it up yourself [there's another post on one of these threads that shows you why you need to send a SAR first]
You can phone and ask if you had PPI to start with, then send a SAR if they dont come back with anything.

You won't get a list of bank charges, what you'll get is a lot of statements which you can use to see your bank charges.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

I hung on at work hoping someone would respond so now on way to bank now to get the cheques!
Will do the SAR request

Hello all
has anyone heard from Genworth in the 2013.
I had a letter at the beginning of December stating they were seeking more info from Santander and have heard no more....
They originally rejected but have since seem to be reconsidering - my concern is time is ticking away as i originally contacted them in September and you only have 6 month to refer to FOS.
Any advice please.
Thanx0 -
If they have not sent you a final decision letter, your 6 months do not start until then.
Have they acknowledged that they are looking at your claim again?.0 -
Originally they sent me back to Santander. When they realised I had already complained to them they asked for a copy of their response which i sent. Then just before christmas they said they were waiting for premium info from them. So i assume they are still dealing. When i called they just said they are still waiting on Santander.
Funnily enough Di & I both contacted them around the same time in Sep/Oct and Di's was sorted in a matter of weeks.
I'll give them another couple of weeks.
Thanks for answering.0 -
Hi,
Just came across this site and reading a few of the commentrs on this thread, I've just got a couple of questions i would like to ask :
If i was to try and claim back PPI and i wanted to go through a claims company is there one which you would recommend ?
I've had a quick look through the reclaim letters and i must admit when it asks when was it taken out , policy number etc i must admit i havent any paperwork
I also took out a Halifax mortgage with my late father on the family house which i paid up when he passed away would there be a chance that there could be a PPI claim against that ?0 -
No, none of them
You need the account number and a complaint reason
No idea, you haven't said what type of insurances there were.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

Do it yourself and do not give a chunk of your win to a company who only get you to fill the form in and then post it.
You will get all the help you need on this site for free, just ask.0
