Appreciate any advice - thanks!
It is Staybright Zenith you put the claim to as they sold you the PPI.0 -
Got a car on finance 2009,i have checked the paperwork and the ppi box is unticked as i said i did not want it.But heard of other people it might not show up on the paperwork. So not sure wether to ppi claim back. Also my Mrs got a £1500 loan 2005 and i remmber saying to the clerk at natwest we dont need PPi and he agreed. Is it worth checking just incase,i dont have the paperwork for the loan
The car finance agreement will show a figure for PPI and the interest, if there is no PPI figure then you do not have it, the same goes for other loan.
Contact the bank the £1500 loan was with and ask them if PPI was on there, they should tell you.0 -

Ask for all information they hold on you and not just specific items, give as much info as you can about you so they can find you.0 -
How necessary is it to send a £1 cheque when initially requesting the T&Cs from your lender? I'm about to submit some claims but most of them are for credit cards and car loans etc which have been closed for some time. I'm not sure if they will refuse to sned 'old' information or request a cheque for £10. Should I send a cheque for £1 with my first letter(s)?

If you want or need information regarding any Loans or Credit cards then send a Sar request, ask for all info they hold on you, do not ask for specific info and give them as much info about you to help them find you, enclose £10 per bank even if you had Loans and Cards with one bank you only need to pay the fee once.

Hi, I am currently going through the FOS for a claim from Capital One Home Owner Loans. I assumed I would claim to Future Mortgages (the people we borrowed from) they came back and said we would need to speak to Cap1 as they were the "broker" anyhow here we are today 7 weeks into the 8 week response time the FOS advised they had to respond and I recieve a letter (strangely dated 19th November!) to say that Cap1 need to speak to Future Mortgages about it and because they don't have written authority from me they refuse to discuss it with them!!! I'm furious all in all I have been trying to claim this back since February 2011.
Has anyone got any advice for me? I understand the FOS have a major backlog but this to-ing and fro-ing is really annoying the life of me now, I really am starting to wish I'd gone with a claims company.
Rant end :mad:0 -

You complain to the seller. Not the lender or insurer (unless they sold it to you).
A claims company would not have made any difference.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Thanks, the FOS sent Cap1 the complaints questionnaire and then they had the 8 weeks to respond, they have done now 1 week before the time was up for there response to that, so I suppose the question is though now how much longer are they going to string this one out do you reckon?
Don't suppose any when can maybe hazard a guess as to how much I might be look at if they ever do get bac ko me? The loan was taken in 2003 and the amount of PPI was added seperately for 7,800 the loan was over 8 years, PPI only covered for 5 years and my payment was never reduced to reflect this, so I carried on paying 482 a month until the term end. I was told I had to have the cover to get the rate I was offered originally and did I not take the cover I wouldn't get the loan, I was not given an option and it was never explained to me at all other than the T&C's came after the money was in the bank. What an absolute @sshole I was for accepting in the first place.0 -
Hi Everyone Is there a time limit to claiming PPI? If so how long is it please.
Thanks in advance
