Thanks for your reply. What shall I do now then to find out or should I just send the questionnaire and hope for the best
Thanks again Kristen0 -
Now did we send the wrong type of letter or are they being difficult and trying to stop us putting in a claim??
Thanks in advance if anybody can help Kristen
You sent the wrong letter.
You can't ask for credit agreements on closed accounts. You can ask for them on open accounts, and send £1 for it.
For closed accounts, you send a SAR and £10 - link on the first page of the forum.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
I sent the letter to my loan company (Northern Rock) together with payment of £1, but they haven't responded and, apart from the number, I have no details of my loan. The loan is still current. Now what?0

Hi
First timer!
After reading so many success stories & with about 4 loans & countless credit cards over last 15 years I thought I would give it a go!
Sent off first few letters (more to do) using template on here along with £1 cheques, just home & had 2 replies & am a bit stuck now if anyone can help?
Claim 1 - HSBC
Sent off letter re: Gold MasterCard I've had years! Think was only about 19 & was given a £10,000 limit!! Had a letter back with credit card application not in my writing & unsigned.
Letter states regulation 3 (2) certain items may be omitted from such copies including the signature box & signature.
Claim 2 - northern rock
Mortgage plus £10,00 loan at time taken out then a further £24,00 loan with remortgage.
Had letter back with £1 returned copy of credit agreement for £10,000 loan but no mention of mortgage or 2nd loan??
Can't see any ppi on what's come.
Any help gratefully received0 -
I also requested documents from HSBC about a £7000 loan & they have sent nothing or even acknowledged this??0

I can't remember how I managed to incorporate the £13.60 per month on my mint credit card bill. I do remember calling them & trying to cancel it. I was told that I couldn't cancel it via Mint I would have to contact the insurance company direct. I have now been paying this insurance in excess of 10 years with no balance on my account other than this every month. I have had no correspondance asking me whether I wish to renew my policy or not. I don't even know whether the insurance company still exists.
Can I make a claim?0 -

Soneone is taking the money. Did you not think to find out who?
Yes, you can make a complaint, but it's whether it was missold that's the issue.
If you haven't used your card, and the balance is zero except for the payments going out, then you could ask for a goodwill refund when you find out who's taking the money from your account each monthNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

If you have the account number for the card, and a valid reason for claim, get the PPI Questionnaire completed and put the claim in.
If you don't have the account number, you will need to send a SAR request along with £10 for their trouble and request a copy of all information held on file about you and your accounts. You can find a template letter in the SAR thread. Alternatively you could try simply calling them and asking them if you had PPI on the account and if so start the claim on the phone.0
