Oh dear, I feel very stupid, I was looking to hard in search thread options and didn't look in the most obvious place!
I'm sure there's a saying for that
Ah well, thanks a million for pointing it out to me! :j0 -
haha!
Don't bother with the terms and conditions, unless the accounts are open, they won't give them to you anyway.
Just fill out the forms with as much detail as you can remember and send them off.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Hi,
newbie here. Can anyone tell me who to pay the cheque to for my SAR. Is it just 'Egg'?
Also, is their address still
Egg Loans
Riverside Road
Pride Park
Derby
DE99 3GG
Their website is directing enquiries to
Canada Square Operations(formerly known as Egg Banking plc)
PO Box 4903
Worthing
BN99 3AR
I'm confused, as always.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

So here we are guys restarting on this thread this post will just give you a post or two to latch on to.
Sorry if I have attached to the wrong bit..
I have made the application with MBNA and they have declined with what I can see is a standard letter. In it though it does state they do not have any recording of the call, They basically say they sent out the information and it was up to me to check if I had been sold the right insurance and could have cancelled if I didn't think it was suitable.
Is this standard reply? and what should I do now?
Also I was registered as self employed at this time as well as employed but that issue seems to have been ignored. I wasn't earning anything as SE but I was still registered.

Do I believe that £7 billion was mis-sold in the "scandal" of PPI? No. Do I believe that everyone is jumping on the reclaim PPI even if I asked for it and took advantage of its cover ? Yes. I work in a car garage and we never actively sold PPI. Going by the FSA guidelines at the time we were obliged to offer PPI along with other products so people could not come back to us later and claim "if only we were told about that cover". The customers were explained the benefits of all the products and chose which they wanted - no pressure. Now the garage is having to pay these people the money back even though we were only following FSA guidelines - madness...and garages do not make huge profits from these policys.0

Hi,
This is my first time I have used this forum so I hope I have posted in the right place. If not I am sorry.
About 4/5 years ago I took out my first mortgage via a local mortgage broker (which has now ceased trading). I was told by the mortgage broker that I would NOT be able to get a mortgage unless I took out life insurance. I was NOT told at any time that it was only a recommendation I was just told that unless I had a policy I would not get a mortgage. My mother who attended one of my appointments with me questioned this and he said the same to her.
I therefore took out a life insurance policy (the cheapest as I was strapped for money at the time) and received the policy. Recently I have cancelled my life insurance policy as I now get life insurance through work.
I was just wondering if this would come under PPI and if I could claim my money back?
Or if this bullying tactic I encountered is acceptable as if I knew the life insurance was only recommended I would have not got the policy to start with.
Thank you for reading my post.0 -
I sent the template letters to a couple of Banks i had PPI with a couple of weeks ago first class signed for and have heard nothing back. Is this normal? How long should I give them as I don't know when it arrived to give them the 5 day response time.0
