PPI Reclaiming Discussion Part 5

After some help, been watching the forum for some time and have the following ask
I have written to Capital One my credit card provider thathas mis-sold me the PPI and they have now responded with, thanks, we take it seriouslyetc. having reviewed we confirm our total offer of redress is £x in premiums£0.00 in associated interest and an additional 8% statutory interest.
Why is associated interest £0.00 surely they must reimburseinterest year on year ?
Thanks

Did you ever pay any PPI premiums? for example, you may have PPI set up on a card but never paid any premiums as you never borrowed on the card.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi
While I am waiting for Capital One to deal with an existing PPI complaint I thought I would contact Vanquis to see if I ever had PPI on a card I held with them.
They said they don't believe in PPI so never offered it but I was overcharged on late payment fees so could have them back. They sent me the form to sign which I did and kept a copy for myself and I sent it back to them by Special Delivery which they received on the 25th October.
Have heard nothing since and no matter what time of day I call no one answers the Customer Services phone number they gave me.
Do you think I should give them a few more weeks or send a follow up letter asking what is going on as I can't get to speak to anyone ?
On my Capital One complaint they asked for a further 10 weeks which takes me to late January to get an answer of yes or no.
Am beginning to think I am not going to get anything off anyone0 -

Look at the contract you signed and read the bit on cancellation terms. Usually you can cancel as long as there has not been a decision made on your case by the lender. It also usually costs you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. I sent the letter to my loan company (Northern Rock) together with payment of £1, but they haven't responded and, apart from the number, I have no details of my loan. The loan is still current. Now what?
Call Nram and ask, you only need the loan number and reasons for mis sell to make the claim.

Should I give Vanquis a few more weeks to refund my charges or should I send them another letter just to enquire what is going on?

Having received countless automated phone messages regarding PPI but never really taken them seriously, I am now wondering if I do have some previous cases to investigate and follow up. In the past I have had various credit cards - often taking out a new one to transfer a balance at 0% then closing the previous one. I have not kept records of most of these as they were many years ago. I do not think there was any missold PPI on most of them, however, I do remember something with a Debenhams credit card - a monthly amount I was never too sure about. However, I no longer have any details about the account, nor remember any dates of when I would have had it. How would I go about finding out any information so that I can see if there is something to claim against?
With the other cards, I can remember some of the companies, but not all, is it worth trying to find out anything from the companies I do remember, or will it take some time for them to find even the details of my account? I changed address since I held most of them as well, which might pose a bit of an issue?
Many thanks for any information.0 -

PPI on cards stands out clearly. It appears on each monthly statement and would increase the amount owed. This would be particularly noticeable if a) you check your statements or b) you borrow on zero interest on balance transfers.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
