I would if you have no proof of the PPI further back than they have paid out.0 -
Hoping someone can help me.
Husband phoned the Natwest PPI claim line today to see how our reclaim on 3 consolidated loans was going. After speaking to 6 people the last person said that they have, today, sent out 7 letters to us and we should receive them within 10 working days.
Does this sound like they have upheld our claim? I am of the thinking that if they rejected our claim we would only be getting one letter saying this.
Bit of background info, we received a letter on Saturday from Natwest to say that they have cancelled the PPI on the current loan and have given us a rebate of £833. Again, I am seeing this as a positive sign.
Thanks in advance.
With the PPI being cancelled and a rebate has been applied to the loan that is running, this suggests that this loan PPI mis sell has been upheld, hopefully the others will have too but you won't know until you get the breakdowns showing they are upheld.0 -
Hi,
I hope you can help.
I took out ppi on a morgage with Nationwide in 2005.
I have put in a claim direct to them for mis selling.
my claim is that i was also sold a personal income policy with aviva healthcare, which cover me if I am off work sick.
Surely this is a very similar product to what i have with PPI.
I am always going to be in employment and the rerason i took it out was for health care reasons, so why would i need both??
is this a valid claim in your opinion?0 -

Many thanks Amersall. Will post on here when I receive the letters (hopefully with good news).0 -
Please help. After trying to claim from m&s money about a credit card account in the late 90s to 2004, I have received a final letter from them stating the usual bits about " you neednt have ticked the box " and " you could have cancelled the ppi"(although i was self employed when i took out the card) they said that after being in an iva ( for about 13 months) in 2004, they had to receive less of the overall figure that was owed to them .the account was closed then.Surely, with the interest companies like m&s were charging, which ,in a way caused the i.v.a.they cant recover their so called shortfall by taking the ppi ,which i think was missold,as payment for this????anyway i didnt reply, just sent the whole 4 pages and asked the f.o.s to pursue the matter. Going by a lot of the posts on here, these companies are STILL trying to be above the law.0

Everything M&S says is correct.
If they decide to pay out on your complaint, they can offset the redress against the money they wrote off when it went to IVA.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
I purchased a vehicle from a vauxhall dealer in 2005 and finished paying in 2010, this vauxhall dealer has now closed so I have been in touch with another vauxhall dealer about mis sold payment protection insurance. I have also wrote to the finance company about mis sold PPI and they have confrim that PPI was sold to me through the vauxhall dealer. I have sent a copy of this letter vauxhall a long with all other relavant paper work and they say because of house keeping rules they can no longer look into this query as it from over 6 years ago. I have wrote to them again and ask them again to look into this query as PPI can be claimed up to 10 years and they have advised me the same again and wont look into my query. What else could I do?0

Do note that there is no ten year limit on complaints. However, the older the concerns you have , the more comprehensive the evidence you provide yourself needs to be.0
