I reclaimed PPI from Nationwide and got back over £4000!!! Could not believe it - all for the cost of 2 first class stamps and printing off 2 letters.
It was so easy and not time consuming at all. I have had other loans and credit card over the years that I am now going to claim back to.
Thank You MSE! I put the money to good use and used it to pay towards our wedding so have started married life debt free!0 -
Hi guys needing some help, I have several companies that I feel I could claim PPI from but don't know where to start. I no longer have any paperwork or account no's relating to these companies so where do I go from here?0

You can edit the questionaire - just delete any ref to PPI and put in Medicare 240 -
Evening Ladies & Gents,
My husband had a credit card with citibank a few years ago before we met. He wondered whether it would be an idea to dig out the account details and see whether he had been mis-sold. Sent off the standard letter to Citibank and they responded, advising that they would award us just over £3000 and to return a letter of acceptance to them. They informed us that the cheque would be sent within 10 - 15 days of them receiving our letter.
That was almost 4 weeks ago and I'm wondering whether citibank have a lot of claims to backdate? I have since written an email and another letter to them requesting the cheque.
Does anyone have any experience with regards to how long it takes for them to send the cheque?
Thanks again, and good luck with all your PPI journeys.0 -
You only get the PPI back, not the whole loan amount, the PPI that was actually on this loan was just over 10,000, they gave you a refund of over 5,000 in 06 for this PPI plus the PPI they have given you now, what they should now do as you have won mis sell is take
off the whole PPI amount from the balance of the loan, less the rebate amount they gave you, make sure that they do this.
Thank you for you're reply amersall, RBS say that they can't readjust the loan they can only refund PPI which is the £1049(ish) but that will be refunded on to the loan and I'm still liable for the remaining £2000(ish)
Am I right to use their calculations and dispute the amount I have paid and what I am still liable for according to them??
If that makes any sense!! RBS are very painful!! Originally they told me I didn't exsist with them!!!!
Any info a help

They have , with the amount they have offered you now, £6,267.43 back for the PPI in total, this is the PPI and the interest, you need to ask for a breakdown of the calculations they have done now and from the original rebate amounts they gave you, at that point, depending on why they gave you this rebate, the PPI total should have reduced the balance on the loan, ask for details of this transaction.0 -
When you received the PPI and rebate amount back, did they remove the PPI from the loan and reset it and why did they give you the rebate?.

Thanks Amersall,
They offered me that payment as a gesture of goodwill, the letter says they accept no liablty nor are they admitting miss-selling of the PPI!! I haven't signed the letter to accept it, I'm just trying to put a letter together to basically explain what I can see written on my credit agreement, they are just trying to pull a fast one, I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't going mad and that I am right to go down the route of readjusting the loan etc :-)
I shall let you know how I get on, thank you for your help

And they didn't reset it nor reduce the loan etc
They gave me the original rebate without me even realising, it was just on the statements of the loan!! I didn't even know it was on there0 -
I've asked RBS for the terms & conditions applying to a credit card I used to have with them, and on the basis that the account has been fully repaid and the account is now they've refused, saying they're under no obligation to provide the information. I know that I had high PPI charges. What's my next step?0
