Just joined and hope for some advice as i have have tried to review the forum for my particular problem but do not seem to be able to find anything simlar.

I have moved home a few times and have all the records from 2003, prior to this period I had mortgages wth Abey National from 1997 to 2000 on one property then moved home and mortgageged with tem from 2000 to 2003.

My dilemma is .... I cannot find any paperwork relating to my mortgages pre 2003.

I am in the process of completing a form for HBOS from 2003.

How can I find out the details as my credit file does not provide details that far back??

Will Santander fob me off as it is so long ago?

Any assistance or experience from others would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

so I'm looking to find what specifically I should be writing on my questionnaire.
You need to write a full and honest account of why you feel the PPI was mis-sold to you.
We can't tell you what to write as the reasons must be genuinely your own.
    Look for reasons that may apply here;

Don't forget that "hearsay" complaints (in which you say you were told something you can't prove) are the weakest.
  • All, also just joined after reading lots of posts on PPI claims. I have not actually got around yet to completing the 'do it yourself' template letters for a tesco loan i had and a lloyds tsb credit card. Please advise what would be best for me to do now as i have today received a letter from each of these companies saying that they have reviewed the sales of PPI and that there may have been some issues with the sales process etc. Do I complete and return the enclosed questionnaire and send back to them or do i continue with the templates?? Would be grateful for any advice. Thank you.

The questionnaire will be best. Keep a copy of the completed one.

I think the moderators helped him decide to "end it all" on this forum, by deleting several of his more aggressive and antagonistic posts!

Unfortunately, by continuing to discuss him on the forum, we guarantee he'll return in future (in whatever guise).

"Report and ignore" is the best option.

i wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.

However, the level of doubt from which to benefit is now rather low.
  • Great, Thank you.
  • Hello all,

I need some advice please. I logged a PPI complaint with Barclaycard about three weeks ago and haven't not heard back from them, I got told that the adviser didn't actually log the complaint. Nice. So the new guy apologises and I made sure I took his name.

In Summary: I just found out two months ago that I have been paying PPI on my Barclaycard since 2002!!!! Waaaaaaaaat! I was a student in university then and there is no way would have opted for PPI when I wasn't working and living on uni expenses from my parents. I'm waiting for the questionnaire to be sent which I've been advised that I need to fill out and send back.

Does anyone, or has anyone experienced this and can I get help on where to go from here. I was really annoying to find out I'd been paying for something I didn't choose and it's just been halting me from paying off my balance.

    Thank you in advance!

So you haven't checked your credit card statement for ten years?
That's 120 statements your PPi would have appeared on.
Do you see where this is going?
  • hi
I had a front loaded ppi with Black Horse and was also self employed.
They rejected my claim and did'nt reply to my 2nd letter in which i rejected their findings.

After writing again telling them i have referred it to the FLA they have replied pronto stating they are now reviewing it.

Is it just me or are Black Horse taking the hardest line?
Anybody had any success through the FLA?
