  • Hi, I have two complaints with FOS for rejected claims with barclaycard, one has been with them 5 month and the other 7 month, rung to chase today and they said they have had the relevant docoments from barclaycard it is waiting to go to an adjudicator (sorry if mis-spelt), does anyone know how the process works, i realise they are snowed under and it may take some time but i just wondered if the adjudicator is the first stage?, end stage??. any feedback of your experiences would be appreciated

Here's a link to the FOS website, where you can read answers to all your questions (and also what to do if you think the Ombudsman is wrong)

  • Hi there, hope some of you helpful folks know an answer to a question ive got.

I have written to lloyds concerning 4 loans I took out with them from 1997 to 2002. which I didnt have the loan agreement numbers to, and amazingly just received a letter from them giving me the numbers. Now im not sure if I have any luck as they were quite a while ago, but worth a shot.

Do you think I have to fill out 1 ppi questionnaire for each loan. or just fill in the one, detailing each loan number and date.

    many thanks

Hello can anyone offer me any help or point me in the right direction?

Looking into claim back PPI and honestly thought I didn't have any but just discovered I paid £1600 in PPI on RBS £8000 loan 2003-2007.

I'm filling out the payment protection consumer questionnaire and have a few questions,
I bought the loan over the phone with the branch and don't recall being offered it, I felt quite secure in my job and at the age of 23 had excellent health and there's no way I would have agreed to paying an extra £1600. What do I fill out on the form? Specifically D6, would you have any other way of paying loan repayments? Could I say yes? i don't have evidence but I had a few £1000 savings?

Why do I say I was unhappy with the insurance?

Do I have to send a covering letter I can't seem to find any template?

Once again thank you for any help you can offer and what an amazing site!!

    Paul.

It is no good to feel secure in your job or think that you are perfectly healthy. You could be a great driver but if someone goes into you or your tyre blows you are going to need your insurance company.

Anything you tell them will need to backed up by evidence if asked for. What benefits did you get from work?
If you don't recall being offered it why did you not question it at the time?
Was your PPI front loaded, ie added to the loan at the start? Because if so that is a different matter as these cases are the most won due to the unfair nature.

  • I got a fitted kitchen installed and the company arranged the finance for me. I only discovered that I had paid PPI until recently, I sent of all the forms and documents to the bank, they informed me although they did supply the finance and I would be entitled to a refund, they didnt issue the PPI. it was the company who fitted the kitchen but they are in admistration. Could anyone give me any advice as to where to go from here or do I have to cut my losses!!!
    Thank you
    :(

Thanks for advice! Yes I do believe the ppi was front loaded as I just wouldn't have seen the value of spending £1600 on the "what if ", so I'm looking to find what specifically I should be writing on my questionnaire.
