    Hi there,

I've just started the process of claiming back PPI, and I'd welcome any advice people might have. In particular, three of my credit cards have changed between lenders in the time that I've had them; for example, my Egg Card was bought out by Barclaycard. In the two other cases, I'm not entirely sure which card used to belong to which lender. Embarrassing, but it's a mess I'm aiming to sort out.

I know that the first step is to get hold of the T&Cs of the original agreements. My question is, how do I do this when the debt has been shifted between companies like this? Who do I contact to ask for a copy of my policy? My current lender or the original? And, how can I find out exactly who the original lender was?

thanks in advance - all advice appreciated!

This will be a waste of time in your case unless any of the credit cards are still active.
You need to complain to the provider who originally sold the PPI to you.
Basically, if you have account numbers, you can skip straight to complaint

Hi after making a PPI complaint for 5 lloyds tsb loans on 19th Feb, i received this email today.... anyone experienced this before? Sounds positive? any views, thoughts, experiences welcome!

"Thank you for your recent email, I have tried to contact youon your mobile phone but unfortunately you were not available.

In order to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible Ihave prioritised it through our assessment process. I can confirm that yourcomplaint has now been accepted and is currently with our Refund Team to prepare the refund calculation and make the appropriate payment. I willcontinue to monitor your case to ensure there is no delay.

It does sound as if they are ready to pay your redress. Why not reply to the E-Mail and find out?

    Hi,

Just wanted to let everyone know about MBNA timescales.

I sent a complaint letter to them on the 05/04/2012 and received a letter back about 2 weeks later advising me of their 28 day turn around. Around 28 days later I received a letter to say it would be a further 14 days. As I had not received a response I emailed them and was told I would hear back within 7 days at the lastest. 8 Days later I have received a response to say they have lost my complaint!

I am now having to resubmit my complaint 10 weeks after the original was sent. Great Service

Sounds like standard delaying tactics to me. You have 2 choices, start again or complain to the FoS.
    LBM - 11/08
    DMP - 12/08 - £37,255
DFD - [STRIKE]03[/STRIKE] 02/13 - [STRIKE]£6,454[/STRIKE] £3916 to go! (Unless my PPI & FOS claims are upheld, then it'll be earlier!)
