Firstly, PPI on credit cards is only paid when you have an outstanding amount. It's paid as a proportion of that amount so is not a set monthly fee as with a loan PPI policy. Were there months when your card would have had a nil balance, or when the amount outstanding was very small?
Secondly, the 8% simple interest is calculated on a sliding scale.
Talking about our LTSB I could'nt believe it yesterday at last I found credit card statements going back to 1995 showing ppi, i have been looking for these for the last 6 months and daring to hope i'd find one i found about 30 statements for mastercard and visa accounts something to show the fos when my claim comes up.0 -

I've had a rejection from Barclays re a Barclayloan as they cannot find a policy that proves I have paid PPI.
With my questionaire I sent them a copy of the loan agreement which had all the PPI figures on them.
Is this a stalling tactic?0 -

Hi cappo,
It's surprising what you find once you start looking, isn,t it:rotfl::rotfl:I'm going to have a good old spring clean at the weekend and go through my loft:D0 -
I wrote to NatWest on 6th March, requesting info on 2 loans that I wasn't sure I had PPI on, and also sent them a copy of a credit agreement for another loan that I did have PPI on, which was £1266.00
I had two letters back from them on 5th April, stating as i suspected that the two loans I was unsure about, did not have PPI.
There was no mention about the third loan, so I presumed this was being dealt with separately.
I rang them about 10 days ago as i had not heard anymore about it. I was told that my file had been sent to Archive, and that they didnt know what was happening about the 3rd loan, as there were no notes on the system, and that they would request it be brought back from archive so they could look. I was told this would take a few days, and to call them again. I rang again yesterday, and lo and behold there was no request in place to get the file back from Archive lodged when I rang 10 days ago!
So now they are now sending a request for it again.
From my initial letter of 6th March (which i was told they received on 9th) they have now had 9 weeks, to get absolutely nowhere!!!!
How much longer should I give them to reply??0 -

Send them a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter

Back in 2005 me and Wife completed a re Mortgage. We were contacted by a company out of the area who said they would sort everything etc.
We eventually signed for a mortgage with Noerthern Rock.
After a phone call yesterday from a PPI Claim back company i thought id look into possibly if i have a case or not rather than them taking a 30% cut if any money was to arrive.
In the paperwork it shows we paid 5 Years Essential redundancy, accident, sickness and unemployment protection for this time as a lump sum which was put on top of our mortgage. Is this right? If not do i take my clain up with the company who sorted our re-mortgage or Northern Rock? I think it was around £2000. It is on the completion statement with the bank transfer fees, legal fess and searches etc.
I did use the PPi cover for myself i belive once when i was off sick after a back operation, would this have any effect on claiming ?
Any advice would be very grateful. Thank you in advance.0 -

Thanks. I'll phone them tomorrow (I'm at work and my husband read the letter out) and see what they say. I think I have got the policy document that explains all about the definitions of employment etc but I can't remember seeing a number on there.
I will have a look for some statements but it's going back to the early 2000s so I'm not sure I will have any.
I'm about a zillion percent sure I paid it because I'm not the sort to sign it and then cancel it within a cooling off period.0 -

For PPI that was attached to the Mortgage, you need to post your question here

They know more about this and can help you more, just to let you know, they are a bit "to the point" but don't take offence because they know what they are talking about, if you can claim for mis sell then you go to the company, as they sold you the Insurance, if you can claim and you win then any money that you claimed will be taken back, this can sometimes result in you winning but getting nothing back as the claim was more than the PPI amount.0 -
I think Tesco Loan are now taking the pee. It has been 10 weeks since I logged my complaint and I just chased them up and was told that the case is still with a handler and they are waiting for internal information  Same as they told me via letter on the 4th April  Funny thing is its an active loan, its not an old loan from god knows when. She then mentioned I could go to the FSO but she knew well that there is a 6-12 month wait there.
So we ended with 'In the next 2 weeks' so I made a note and will chase again then.LBM 11/2009 Total Debts 11/2009 £44624 with DFD 2015
