currently processing claim via third party who are charging 25% plus 20% VAT and I still have about 5 pending claims with them. The truth is if Natwest pays this £700 towards my card balance. I will not be able to pay third party their fee.

I am sorry I did not realise I could do this direct until I heard Martin Lewis on BBC last month.

Some of the pending claims are as far back as 1997, some accounts have long been closed due to default. Please advise. Can anyone please advise on what to do?

if they pay it off your credit card couldnt you just pay them using your credit card? you would still be better off once you recieve your money?? just a thought.

Yes i think robbies got the best idea, then anything coming back to you could go to the card balance theoretically, doesn't matter about the defaults i had them as well it doesn't make any difference, unfortunately as to the cmc if you've signed a contract you will have to pay them.

Hi All, I got a letter of rejection today from Nationwide about two loans I had with them in 1999 and 2004. All done over the phone.

After the usual stuff about they had provided enough information at the time for me to make an informed decision as to whether or not I needed PPI.

I stated in the FOS questionnaire that I would've received full pay for 12 months followed by half pay for 6 months in the event of sickness or injury.

They said in their reply to me that It is highly unlikely that any entitlement would have covered repayments for an extended period of time. I mean, how long is an extended period of time?

In any case, If I were to be medically discharged, I would've, at the time, received a pension, not a full pension, but because if med discharge an enhanced one. This would've been payable for life and so I would've been able to carry on making the loan payments.

They have said that short of me having any more queries or anything to add this is their final response. What do you think I should do now?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

    Regards

    Skint

Hi Everyone again. can anyone tell me, if after a rejection and a request to reconsider, how long they get to do the reconsideration?

    Regards

    Hi everyone.

After a friend was successful with a PPI claim having used the template on this site I have figured its time for me to look into it. My query relates to me not knowing account numbers etc for previous credit accounts I have held (of which there is alot!). I know the companies etc but thats about it, im not even sure when I had the cards/accounts with them and whether I paid PPI or not though I think I did on a few of them. Is it feasible to just send off the letter with no account info on it? Has anyone done this before?

Thank-you all for any help/advice you can give me!:)

Hi MACK contact the bank in the first instance as they might be able too trace you through your address etc then if no joy sar them

    oh welcome by the way

Hey guys, could anyone help me with rules and regulations on reclaiming PPI on a friend or family members behalf if they are unable for some reason or another or simply don't have the time?

    Thanks

Hi Devenney if your family feel they have been misold it's very easy to put a complaint in, Don't use a claims company however tempted you are and whatever they tell you, put in a fos questonairre in printed form from the reclaiming link

Hi first thing is to find out if you have it, contact the bank and see what they say initially, if the bank say you never had ppi i would'nt just take it at face value as many have been told they have no ppi and it transpires that they did or do, one way around this is to put in a sar although you don't always get the info your looking for but i'd give it a go if all else fails.
