    Hi all could you help me understand a part of my latest email as follows

    £2612.14 however we will not pay the PPIpremiums on this case, the Personal Loan Service Centre will refund this at the end of restructuring your loan. We will therefore pay you £716.62 which is the interest at 8%

    does this mean there now not paying us £2612.14 and only £716.62?

    we had letter saying they where paying £2612.14 and now this so i am confused

    are they allowed to go back on there orignal offer?

    Looks to me like they will reset the loan and take the whole PPI off when that is done you get the rest sent to you, they are giving you the 8% now because they will owe more by the time the loan is reset.

    Give them a ring to clarify but that is what it looks like to me.

  • Right,

    I have been through an awful lot of paperwork from various credit cards, loans etc. But I cannot see anything that even mentions PPI or any sort of loan protection. Could it be that it was not disclosed?

    I also need the details for some other companies such as egg, cahoot, barclaycard. Can I do this by writing to the companies even though I dont know my account number.

    I have read through all the FAQ's and thought I would just ask the question as someone may have had a similar problem.

    If any of the professionals on here want the companies of the lenders then I dont mind giving you these as maybe some are notorious for being sneeky!

    Thanks in advance

    Mick

    If you have original agreements and payment protection is not mentioned, you probably don't have it. Look for any mention of an insurance fee: it may be 'payment cover', 'protection plan', 'ASU', 'loan protection', 'loan care' or similar.

    You need to send a SAR letter to each company you had loans or credit cards with. This could prove expensive, so do be reasonably certain you had PPI with them before parting with £10 to each company.
    Go here for a comprehensive template letter;

    I am a bit confused surely the system would have shown what the letter would say.
    Your full and final response would not be divulged over the telephone regardless of it's contents.
    You just have to be patient and wait for the post.
