i had a loan repaid 2006 and credit card closed in 2009 due to lack of use with Sainsburys and am 99.99999% sure both would have ppi added to them. I've written requesting copies of both credit agreements and got a letter back today that 'section 78 only applies during the lifetime of the agreement as the accounts are closed there is no longer a regulated agreement between ourselves' and 'we are unable to provide you with the documentation as requested' . I have the account number for the c/c but no paperwork for the loan although i can confirm the bank account that the payments were made from. Is there anything else i can do?

  • Hi

My daughter had a £3500 loan plus £655 PPI which made the loan £4155 from Barclays about four years ago.
She said yes to the PPI because she thought she would be declined if she said no! Can she reclaim and any ideas what she would be likely to get if she won?
  • Hello - got my Experian and Eqiufax reports to help me with PPI. They both show that I have had accounts with lenders but there are no Ac Nos. Does anyone know how I can get the account numbers to start my PPI claims. I have no details as I have shredded stuff for years. One of the lenders (MBNA) will not proceed with my claim unless I can provide the Ac Nos. With thanks.

Lloyds is the most complained about UK bank

    REALLY, I WONDER WHY ???

Lloyds Bank was the most complained about financial group in 2011 with 20,310 complaints in the second half of the year.

I called MBNA and they gave me my account after a standard security check.
  • i've finally managed to find my alliance and leicester account number from them today after 6 months of trying...how? I informed them that i had just spoken to FSO and if they could find the account number that would save a complaint from them.

They then put me thru to another company, pinnacle insurance who they say delt with all of their ppi policy's.
Does anyone know if this is correct? did anyone have ppi thru A&L that was taken off thru their mortgage account and not on a seperate direct debit?

    thanks
  • I have obtained credit files and they list the last 4 digits of credit cards etc only.
I have approached the companies and they say they either cannot locate what I am referencing or they cannot give this to me as I dont know the full credit card number!
    What do I do next?
  • Dear All

I have just heard that I have been successful in my PPI complaint against a loan I took out in 2000. It was only a small loan £1,500 but £120.24 PPI was front loaded. The offer letter is premiums paid until 2001 plus interest of £111.02 until Feb 2012. I know it was only a small premium but would have thought the interest would have been more? What do others think?

    Thank you.
