Lynx bodyspray :o Have tried buying them an assortment from
Tescos own to the cheap brands in Home & Bargain but they insist
it must be Lynx - ripoff merchants!!

Try the INTU mens sprays from poundland, 2 for a pound.

Its very much like lynx, if you done a blind smell test im sure you
couldn't tell the difference between say the 'smooth' one in the black
and brown tin to that of Lynx dark temptation, but all 4 fragrances
    are very nice.

If i didn't know any better I would say its the same stuff but in
    a different tin.

    This stuff..

  • Haywards picallili - OH won't have anything else
Colman's mustard - OH won't have anything else
    Free range eggs
    Good quality bread
Lurpak or Aldi do a cheaper equivalent
Good quality toilet roll - anything on special offer
Pantene, Dove or Herbal Essence shampoo and Dove soap

Dog food has to be Winalot or Pedigree Chum- fussy little critters !!
  • I only buy vegetables that are grown in the uk. Tomatoes that have come from Morocco, Poland, Netherlands etc etc are tasteless globs of water. If I can't buy British I don't buy it.

    Great thread !

Really had to think hard about this one.

    President unsalted butter
    Lindt Excellence 90% cocoa chocolate
    William Saurin cassoulet
Kallo low salt organic stock cubes (though I make own fish stock)
    Imperial Leather soap
Weleda salt toothpaste or Euthymol toothpaste
    Perard soupe de poissons
    Diet Pepsi
    Diet cherry Coke
    Diet A&W root beer
    Benedicta rouille
    Benedicta aioli
    Hellmann's mayonnaise
    Johnson's baby shampoo
    Sanex shower gel
    Badedas

    OH
    McVitie's Jaffa cakes
    McVitie's Jamaican ginger cake
    Soreen malt loaf
    Maynards wine gums
    Becks
    Kronenbourg 1664 (bottles)
    Hayward's piccalilli
    Branston pickle
    Heinz salad cream
    Bisto low salt gravy
    Tesco cheese rolls

I'm just listing brands literally otherwise this post will be too long if I describe my food preferences. Some of the brands listed are French as many family members are and I go over/they come over so I pick a lot of it up like that.

Where do you get the A&W diet root beer! been looking for it everywhere
  • Heinz ketchup and HP brown sauce :-)

  • I suppose it's only really Heinz products (OH won't touch anything else) and marmite

Unfortunately, we don't have Tesco/Asda/Aldi etc - Our choice is basically the Co-op or Waitrose!

I do buy own brand waitrose stuff if it's cheaper than other brands, but I try not to go there as I end up spending huge amounts.

We don't have a choice with milk - it's £1.01 a litre but it's the nicest you'll ever taste and bread - if you want fresh then you have to buy local - a thick sliced is £1.70 each
