Not sure if people are already aware of this but you can convert topcashback funds in to tesco vouchers and therefore avios at the moment. Max £50 per year, plus they top up with a few extra percent.

Pity about the £50 cap but still a bit over 12k avios a year, not to be sniffed at

This is a good point, i knew about this and have been using my bits of topcash back however there is a slight gltich in the system.

If you have a single pay out over £50, for example i have £60+ payment from expedia on my account but i have already converted £15 at tescos you cant then use £35 of the £60 to bring it up to the yearly maxinum.

Hi I ill be spent ding approx £5k on a new kitchen soon & thought I should pay for it on a card to not only claim avios but for added buyer protection.
I have the cash to pay but would like to collect avios as its not often I spend large amounts.
What card would be best to maximise avios collected?
    Thanks

B+Q or Homebase vouchers from Tesco to buy your kitchen. Each £50 of vouchers is worth 150 bonus club card points.

Obviously if B+Q, ask a tradesman to accompany you as the "Tradepoint" prices are much much lower than any B+Q sale price

If its homebase, you can get Nectar points too

£2000 spent in either, would get you 6000 club card points, thats 14400 Avios+ any you would get for spending on your cc. + possibly 4000 Nectar points from Homebase.

Yeah, in truth it is going to be tough to actually get the £50 max. It's a pity you can't split the payouts, or select how much it is you want to take out, but it is still a great way to get extra avios. 12,000 avios costs £207 on the Avios site so this is still a bargain. My girlfriend and I love topcashback and get 200-300 a year each from it, so I'm sure we will be able to get at least 20,000 avios at least from this.

As an aside, I imagine that you can arrange to max out the avios claim by using donations to restrict your actual claim.

Take the £60. Buy used hp or canon ink cartridges off ebay. Tesco recycling give you 100 club card points (240 Avios) per cartridge. You can recycle 100 per year, Jan to Dec.
Total cost for 100 is around £90 inc postage. Pretty good for 24000 Avios

Thanks. I can see that Tesco list the cartridges they take, and then list the Tesco equivalent alongside. Do they give clubcard points for the recycling of the tesco equivalent cartridges too?

How do you get 240 Avios?
    £2.50 in Tesco vouchers (250pts) = 60 Avios
    100 clubcard points = 24 Avios
[/STRIKE]Ignore this :o I'm plainly not properly awake yet

100 cartridges would get you 24000 Avios if they are all accepted but you should be prepared to have a % of the cartridges rejected

£2.50 in CC vouchers convert to 600 Avios, not 60.

Thanks. Why would some be rejected? I've checked the T&Cs, there doesn't seem to be anything in there about the cartridges needing to be virgin cartridges or whatever.

I like the sound of this scheme. I've actually got a few tesco cartridges that qualify so I'll send them off.
