YouGov Payment Problem?

Just had this reply to my latest reminder:
We are working hard to reduce the backlog in the Finance Department - please
be assured that as long as all your bank details were entered correctly the
payment will be processed as soon as possible. I appreciate that the delay is
frustrating - however we are processing thousands of payments successfully each
week. I have just been advised that all payments requested before 7 February
have either been processed or will be processed today.0 -
I am now 5 points away from payment i will then leave the site once i have payment it takes too long to reach the £50 they should have smaller payments like £20.Jan Wins: .0

I too joined in 2008 and am 100 points away from 5000. In my view YouGov is such a scam because there is absolutely no reason why they can not pay more regularly, say every 1000 points. They are just using people without having to pay out frequently while keeping the money in the bank. I think this is unethical at best.
I too will leave them once I have my money. Life IS too short.0 -
One more thing, I got so frustrated with them a while back because of the slow rate of points, that I started answering their surveys wrong as a way to get my own back. I know this too is unethical and not right but can you blame me?
I just don't see why I should care and spend the time doing their surveys properly while they clearly exploit and don't care about me.0 -
I would recommend you continue to email the address you have and frequently post on their twitter page. They want bad press so may take your situation a bit more seriously!
I have been participating in online surveys for a long period of time now and have found them extremely beneficial, but I think it depends which sites you join! The ones I would recommend, which I have made a lot of money from are:
https://www.panelopinion.co.uk - this is my favourite survey website, it is simple but effective...You can withdraw your money when you get to £10 and it doesn't take that long to build up a good amount.
https://www.valuedopinion.co.uk - this website is good because they frequently have new surveys, which means you can qualify for them more often.
https://www.toluna.com - same as valuedopinion
https://www.surveyfriends.co.uk - this website rewards you with vouchers and prizes, which seem VERY easy to win lol. During 2012 I have already won a £50 amazon voucher and a £10 ticketmaster voucher and my friend won a 40" HD TV just before xmas. I am recommending this website based on our recent and previous success
Good Luck, I hope this helps:eek: 2014: £20 voucher from SurveyFriends, £10 cash payout from Panel Opinion too and working towards more from Valued Opinions currently.
2013: £35 and £50 vouchers from SurveyFriends! More than £15 made from other paid surveys sites (Yougov, Panel Opinion, Valued Opinions, Pinecone, etc.) Happy so far!0 -
I was with yougov for about a year was just 5 points short of the £50 pounds when I changed ISP and lost my log in details, tried about 10 e-mails to yougov to explain the situ but rubber eared me each time. My old provider wouldn't give me details either.
Don't know what changing ISP would have to do with it - unless they provided webmail which can no longer access. Otherwise how would your ISP know your login details?
Is it actually your change of email address which became the principal problem?0 -
Anybody else having problems getting paid by YouGov?
Requested payment 30th Jan, have received nothing, and despite emailing them via their contact page and finding a direct email to a person's name on Twitter and emailing that, I've had no response from that either.
Bit concerned, as I seem to recall they've paid out quite quickly in the past.
I cashed out 25 February. I have just looked all over the site to find out whether I gave my bank account details or to find out if they'll pay me through Paypal. I can't find any information at all. It's so long ago that I registered with them that I dont recall if they have my bank details at all. Who/how did you contact them? thanks0 -

Didn't get a reply from either, though!0 -
I did get a reply, saying it would be 10-14 days. That was on the 28th February - still no sign of it.
I replied again saying that a timescale of over 40 days for a BACS payment is ludicrous and just got a reply saying that there was nothing more they could do.
Useless bunch.urs sinserly,

Nothing more they can do? Does that mean they're not going to pay you at all?0
