YouGov Payment Problem?

Options
Anybody else having problems getting paid by YouGov?

Requested payment 30th Jan, have received nothing, and despite emailing them via their contact page and finding a direct email to a person's name on Twitter and emailing that, I've had no response from that either.

Bit concerned, as I seem to recall they've paid out quite quickly in the past.

When they paid me out towards the end of last year I think it took about 3 weeks. They didn't bother letting me know that it had been paid and I couldn't work out who'd paid £50 into my account! It wasn't until I checked my full statement a couple of days later that it showed it was from YouGov.

Maybe they've got a bit of a backlog still from Christmas? I don't know what else you can do since you've already contacted them. Maybe contact them again through their contact page as a reminder.

  • Yes i cashed out (to be paid via bacs) 25th Jan and still waiting payment. Funny though bacs would be quicker than the old postal cheque but it arrived within the 4 weeks.
Did receive a reply to my query saying they had 'paying problems' whatever that means and no timing on when i am likely to receive monies. Will let you know when i receive! sorry make that IF
  • I also cashed out on Jan 25th with no payment received yet and no response to my query.

Only been waiting about three years to reach payment threshold

  • I have had a similar payment problem. Received the following from them on 27 Feb:-

Unfortunately we have experienced some technical problems with the bank
transfers. Payment should be made within the next 10 - 14 days. I apologise for
    any inconvenience this may cause

    Still waiting for the payment
  • Hi, received an email this morning apologising and informing me i would receive payment within 10-14 days, suggesting we should all stop doing surveys until paid, not convinced we will.
  • I was with yougov for about a year was just 5 points short of the £50 pounds when I changed ISP and lost my log in details, tried about 10 e-mails to yougov to explain the situ but rubber eared me each time. My old provider wouldn't give me details either.

Another one waiting payout with no response, as yet to email querying the delay. It was quicker when they paid by post !

Wow the power of this thread. The money was in my bank this morning...

I wonder if I complain that I never win the lottery if that would work ?

  • Just checked, and mine's been paid, too! Glad I started the thread, now!

Still think they should have responded to queries, though - not very impressed with my emails and tweets being ignored.

Am not going to continue with YouGov, as my last two payments prior to this one were Oct 2005 and July 2008 - can't face another four year wait to reach payout again (and then be on tenterhooks as to whether I'm actually going to get paid!)
