Small spend today £14.22 and yay me :j i stuck to my list. For pretty much the first time ever. Feeling pretty proud of myself right now.
And it means i still have over £100 left on day 7 of my month.
I usually do a 'big' shop early on, not leave enough for top ups then go over. So new tactic for March.
I almost deviated a couple of times on things i need but i have split my list into two and doing the rest of the shop on thursday as need fruit for the hubby for the weekend so want it to last.
Have had a HM ready meal this evening. Took two HM curries out of the freezer. Had one tonight with Pitta bread from the freezer. so pleased i didnt buy a naan and some kind of indian selection to go with it.
I will do it, i will do it, i will do it.... (Repeat to fade.) :rotfl:SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
just a quick update to keep me on track roughly £50 to add to march budget today needed formula so went to mr t (who i've been avoiding for the last few wks after yet another experience of they're extremely rude & unhelpful staff ) as they had a few good offers on stuff i actually wanted like activia intensely creamy £2.19 b1g1f + further £1 off £4 spend on yougarts voucher so £3.38 for 4pks (asda £4 for 2pks) & some 1/2 price salmon portions with another £1 off voucher
also picked up a few clothing bargins which they yet again manage to leave the security tags on 3 of  so embarrasing having the security alarms go off and have the staff look at you like you've done something wrong.
havent had a chance to catch up with the thread yet as it moves so fast but will try when/if i get a spare 20minsthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Hi everyone
Total Week 2 spend of £5.37 in A1d! which was 2x carriers, 2x 2pt milk, 1 white cabbage, 1 red cabbage, 1kg bananas, 1 bag super 6 pears, 1kg carrots, 1 broccoli and 2.5kg potatoes.
This doesn't add up if you know A1d! pricings... I didn't even think of it at the time as I was not adding up as I went round, because I knew I was under budget, however when going through my receipt when I got home, I've realised the potatoes aren't on there, so it should have been an extra £1.59! Not sure how he managed that - maybe he was too quick scanning or something? Still, I'm not complaining!
I'm still trying to run down stocks in freezer etc, hence just buying fresh stuff really at the moment!
Got the rest of my YS salmon and spinach quiche for tea, which I will have with wedges (using the last of some M&$ paprika seasoning) and broccoli and carrots.
Anyone got any exciting recipes to use a red and white cabbage in? Bought them as vegetable accompanments, thinking of coleslaw type thing, but any suggestions gratefully received!
Hope everyone's having a good week so far!
