Hi all, well I have just been to !id! for the [STRIKE]half price chocolate[/STRIKE] essentials and spent £35.08. I did buy some expensive stuff like ground coffee and olive oil just in case we run out in the week as I don't want to go back to L and it's so much more in Mr M. They had completely sold out of free range eggs and their caged bird eggs have gone up to £1.19 for 10 from 85p  Got the 5kg of onions for £1.39, got home and I don't know where to put them!
[/COLOR]
Have a lovely weekend everyone, hope you all have the sun.:D
I got the onions also but I sold half of them to my mate and she was pleased with that-totaally unplanned!
NSD today and yesterday and I've been cooking again today -did the sunday roast which was a Mr T value chicken and Ive got to admit they seem to be very good! Making Bara Brith or Nofat teabread(or something in between) tomorrow plus I am doing two different types of shepherds pie type dishes-one is beef and one is soya and lentils(veggy for hubby). Ive been using up my out of date packets today also-yourkshire pud mixes(no idea why I even bought them)stuffing, shepherds pie mixes, and custard which I served as jelly and custard. so a little more room in the cupboard but still no room in the freezer:eek::eek::eek:Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
Florenceem - sorry to hear about your MIL *hugs*
My shopping bill will be much more this week as I couldn't get to Lid!- just shows what a difference this makes. Can I just ask - what does the abbrev "YS" mean?

On top of our loss - I felt as though a cold was brewing when I went away - been really poorly with it. I have ME so bugs hit me hard and last a long while.
We are eating out of the freezer as anything special would be - casting pearls before swine.
Tonight we had salmon quiche with cous cous and tinned tomatoes - spiced up with chilli powder and garlic.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Florenceem - Sorry to hear about your loss, sending lots of love your way x x
Well we have broken through our £250 budget again this month, I'm sure it's higher than my sig, I keep finding receipts and adding them on
As usual, cupboards are stocked full, freezer is about half full (other half is iced up... another thing on my list of things to do lol). Need to get a grip on meal planning!
Started off well on Friday, I had a veg burger from the freezer with left over salad in the fridge. Sat am I bought bread for breakfast. Then went to Mr A for a pizza for dinner, purely so I could bung it in the oven (We were out doing the garden all weekend, so it was a convenience dinner). Went to the card shop for a cheap bday card. Then back to MrA's for mayo to make tuna pasta for dh and a veg pasta for me. Bought sweetcorn as well and something else.... Then Sunday went to MrT's to buy bin bags. Bought more salad stuff and jacket potatoes, cold meat... Another £15
And I wonder why £250 isn't enough to feed two people and a small dog for a month!!!!
On the plus side, I have brought veg pasta to work today for lunch, and some left for tonights dinner. Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Spent approx £3.00 yest/today, on bananas, hot x buns and korma sauce (coop and tesco).Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

April will be the tightest month we've ever had, DH had practically no overtime this month, car tax and 2 MOT's due so rugal shopping will be the way forward and running down the freezers!
Hope you are all enjoying some sunshine and happy no shopping
