Last big shop of the month, used a £5 off £40 in Tesco, got some washing powder on offer, meat (yellow stickered) and lots of other things, approx £53 spent. Fruit and milk only for rest of month and DH will be doing this so I don't enter any shops!
Had to go to town to get a ticket for something so made use of fuel and went shopping too!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Yes, we got one a few years ago, sold it on ebay a few weeks ago as we never used it......
Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Spent 28 pounds in sainsburys so I am way over budget now
but they had lots of baby bits on offer so I stocked up on that. Will go get some more so that we have enough to tide us over whilst we are away
And I know I will have to buy a couple more bits, before the month is over

Hi
Just popping in to say I hope you don't mind my lurking.
I did the grocery challenge a while ago and it really helped!
I am now gonna go for it again and start saving receipts as I fear I may have been slipping.
Will be popping in now and then for some inspiration as in the good old days!!!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
Grocery Spend Weekly Challenge (Sat-Fri):£30.50/£400 -
So .... currently sitting at £469.46 / £420 for the 1st quarter so a bit over:o but hoping to recoup some of that as a fair bit of that is stuff that will last for the rest of the year (but wasn't dividing into months at that point).
I guess the only way to try to rectify would be to take some from Jan and add to April, July and October (stocking up months) ..... maybe £30 off Jan and £10 to each of the stocking up months? ohhhh not sure what to do!:o
Not quite ready to declare March yet - still 5 days left (and a Saturday - but I may have to put my shop off until Sunday :rotfl:) - shouldn't need a lot, probably just rolls for work ... fingers crossed!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Evening all!
I am on to my 4th (and final) week of the month, and my £20 will have to last me.
I did chilli tonight, and made loads, so will have it with jacket potaites tomorrow, then only have to worry about Wed and Thurs.
Feeling confident that i can do it this month! Its amazing what a weekly shop can do!
Oh, just to let you all know- if anyone LOVES vanilla/Hazlenut lattes from starbucks, L!dl have the syrup in at the moment. Its £1.99 for a fair sized jug of it, so you could save a fortune instead of buying them from starbucks!0 -
Spent £3.24 on beetroot and purple broccoli from the organic bloke at market, 94p on rye and 30p on reductions in M&S. I never bothered checking M&S for reductions as everyone says it's rubbish but my local seems to just slap a 10p sticker on everything and sell it asap. I picked up two packs of reduced wraps when I walked in, got some milk, checked the meat and as I walked back past the bread all the reduced stuff had gone.
cleggie is it just your local or in all stores? i will definitely have to have a look for itLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0
