    I'm declaring for March at £49.78 - 22p under budget :D

I'm going to leave joining the April grocery challenge as I'll be moving house and going into temporary accommodation so I have absolutely no idea what I'll be spending on groceries. I'll see you all in May or June!

Went to Mr T's on Friday for milk and spent £5.34, then today I went to A1d1 and spent another £19.28. Doing really well this month, as we've still got almost £60 left with only a week left of the month, and not much else needed, so hopefully will come in under budget for a change, lol!

  • Declaring at £558 for March against my usual "target" of £450. Did give up trying a bit to be honest in part of the month but kinda coming to the conclusion that maybe £450 is too low a budget for me after all.

  • Hello!

I hope you have all had a good weekend. Mine has gone really quickly. I must go and have a tally up of spends after ths to make sure I don't miss any. Did a SM shop today at Mr T and noticed that they had coconut milk in a tin on offer at 2 for £1. Not sure if this is just in my store or nationwide but thought I would mention it as I know lots of you use it and it can be pricey. It was something like 79p each which sounded pretty good to me.

    Meals -
Mon - honey and pork ys sausages with chard and broccoli and mash
Tues - ys salmon fish cakes, new pots and same veg as mon
Wed - pasta bake and salad
Thurs - sausage casserole and rice
    Fri - freezer surprise

Hi all, been MIA for a few days, just seems no time, but already over £200 for March, what is it about this month, I know I'm not alone in thikning where has it all gone already?! Also waylaid by a W'rose trip, only staples and the odd YS but almost £30, and that was on top of a £70+ Ocado shop... well stocked up with all sorts of things but nothing I can actually make into a meal! :mad:Also just had to do a £50 ish pet shop online, cat food, litter and rabbit food, plus DS shoes x 2, school stationery, printer paper... none of it's groceries but how many other budgets are there?! Also DS1 now needs specs, that's another £60 as I let him get nobbled by the lovely optician instead of dragging him to Specs@vers like I should have done... didn't have the heart to say 'no you can't have those, I can't afford it' and watch his face fall, he was so pleased with them and he could have been fed up about just having to have them at all... I was so relieved he was ok about it, I didn't want to rock the boat! Honestly!

On a positive note, have taken up Florence's idea of one square of chocolate a night - instead of 2 Rocky bars etc - but bought v posh choc (Montezuma) at WR and it's like a feast if eaten really really slowly! Honest!

Gnight all, off to update siggie when I can bear to...
    Well done!

I haven't been on here for ages. I went away to the Midlands on 8 March then was back home for 2 days before going to stay with a friend. I had only been at my friends for a couple of hours when my Mil died suddenly. I will update my sig.
