What L1d! chocolate do you get tessie bear?

I've just used virtually my last dribble of Kara milk and my last dregs of coffee for the month... in fact to make my obligatory 3rd mug I had to raid the cupboard for the individual sachets that me and my mum always ensure we snaffle when available in hotels etc... I used the last two so even emergency stock is all gone. Only thing left is decaf. DECAF!!! honestly...

So I will definitely be spending today on Kara and on coffee. Now, the thing is the money isn't coming from my grocery budget, but do I count it as grocery spends? When I have treats I often don't count them as GC because they are not essential and I take them from my pocket money. However, these two things are essential, as will fruit and salad be if I get some, so should I count it as GC? Dilemma... :(

All going well so far, spent £15.79 in Tesco yesterday (only went in for the bread mixes) but bought lunch stuff in there and cheese that was on offer. Also got DH's cider, bbq briquettes and present for friend's daughter but they don't come out of GC budget.

Aldi set me back £30.04, unfortunately they were out of most of the veg/salad/fruit I wanted which means I will have to pop to co-op today. Will print out some more coupons in case they sell the Wrights mixes.

All I will need for the rest of the week is some fruit and veg, so it looks like I am well in the budget again. Thanks to Aldi, I am sure as I never found it this easy when I was shopping at Tesco.

  • Well I think we've done the last spends of the month yesterday.I just have to keep away from YS bargains in Sainsbugs. Its a double edged sword - I have to go in to get supplies for school so I often see bargains but that means I often buy them:o We have loads of stuff in the house and the freezers and the garage.... I di well on coupons yesterday saved £10 in Mr T mainly on cleaning and laundry stuff some of which is for my friend and another £11 in Sainsbugs. I've also still got another free and another half price pack of almonds to get and some more cheap raisins - always good for baking and will pick up a few bread mixes each time I'm in.
Anyway spent £12 on f and v, £4 on a chunk of parmesan cheese on the market and then £20 in Sainsbugs.
I'm really going to try and keep spends as low as possible in April as any extra will go into the holiday spending pot.
Oh the cats have spent anothe £6.50 on Biscuits (with vouchers) and Sheba - they're such spendthrifts:rotfl:
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D

    Good afternoon all!

Am hoping to only have to go food shopping once this week, and spend a max of £20, as i need to rest of this weeks money for something else that i dont want to miss.

I am not worried about meals, as i have loads of food for dinners, and loads of bread/rolls (picked them all up for about 17p- YS) for sandwiches.

Trying to work out what i may need, and my list so far is:

    Milk
    Ham
    Eggs
    Jacket potatoes
    Crisps

So, fingers crossed i can get those from Mr T tomorrow, and then thats it until at least Friday!
  • Well the sun is shining :D just back from a coffee with a fellow MSEr and have stuck a load of washing in .....

Did the Apr - Jun stock up on bits at Home Bar*gains so that's £35.34 out of April's budget.

Not too bad ... and have enough household cleaning stuff, toiletries (except maybe deodorant) and washing stuff to last until at least the end of June!:D

I really must do a stock take and write a list of stuff so I don't re-buy what I've already got.:o

Stopped at Sainsbobs and managed to get just what I needed so £10.22 to add to March's budget.:T

Hope you're enjoying the sun :)
