Taken from an article about FitFlops!! "Since their launch in 2007, FitFlops have sold in their millions, with the major attraction being that they activate major muscles in the legs.
The wedge-shaped soles are supposed to create instability, making the leg muscles contract in order to retain balance. Therefore, the wearer can tone as they walk without any extra effort to themselves."

    .

Hmmm def not toned any of me :-)

Creeps in, blinking creaky door..... Remind me to wd40 it later :o

Sh half way through the long weekend already and still so much to do

Yesterday comprised of sitting on my bum doing sfa :(back just isn't playing ball at the minute. I did how ever crack on with some much needed knitting, Superman now has a rainbow knitted hoodie for his teddy bear and miss Hinges cardigan is looking more likely to be ready this winter :rotfl::rotfl:

Mr hinge has been busy in the kitchen, bread is mixing in the machine, the cake he baked at 9am is now crumbs :p and the gammon joint is just abut to go n the oven for dinner :) im sure he is planning on making some pizzas for the freezer this afternoon also.:eek: i think the harsh words of the last few days may have just sunk in

Holiday is paid off and we are now looking for spending money and cheap days out whilst away. This week we have had a budget of £75 of food and we spend £74.94 :rotfl: progress is nothing else! :T

Yet to need petrol as still have 1/3 of a tank and refusing to visit people just for the sake of it! Although will probably have to visit in laws tomorrow due to birthdays etc... it would be nice if just once they visited us!

10 items on ebay all ending today and so far bids are at £187 :j although this is mr hinges money! Still haven't made it to the bootie, will try and push myself to the one tomorrow, bank holiday special!

How is everyone else? Stripe the king behaving?

Mush go and attempt some ironing before i do the veggies for lunch!

Hope your back will get better soon Mrs Hinge xxx
All is good in the Stripey household, the King is laughing and smiling most of the time, except when I had to give him a haircut with the clippers  The boy is strong! He did scream 'Mummy' when Mr Stripes was showering him after the haircut. I rescued him straight away :p He is usually non verbal so its amazing to hear him say words.

Totally understand about visiting, I give up too  Family get togethers can still be awkward as they are not at the acceptance stage yet, they'll get there.

Have a lovely Monday Mrs Hinge and :A for Superman!

Superman has come on leaps and bounds with his speech the last 8 weeks and I love hearing his voice, the simple things that please us Stripe hey, makes my heart flutter!

Tomorrow is defo carboot day  alarm is set and the car is packed! Miss Hinge are partners and we have a challenge to see who can sell the most [STRIKE]tatt[/STRIKE] peculiar item! i have to sell a box of various hoover attachments and she is selling a camera from decades ago :rotfl:that looks like it belongs in a museum!

We find clippers are a no go for Superman we stick to a rigid routine and visit the same barbers shop and he sits in the same chair and the same bloke cuts his hair! the post cut hair removal is the worst part for Superman. our little treasures have so many challenges.

Family don't understand Superman's difficulties like you say Stripe they don't accept them and always push for more then he can give them. they leave him distressed and exhausted and very emotional. it is easier not seeing them and they seem happy to live in the ignorance of out of sight pretend it is a rosy world.

What are you planning on doing tomorrow stripe?

  • :wave:Hello Mrs H,

I've read your diary from the beginning over the last few days and just wanted to say hi! You've done really well :)

Oh and I'm without a tumble dryer atm too mine died right before the nice weather so I best start saving before next winter!

My sister's son sounds just like your little Superman and I take my hat off to you for having so much energy on so little sleep :) I'm always saying the same to my sister but after 8 years she tells me you just get used to it :rotfl:

Well done on the boot fair today we were going to have a look around one yesterday but after queuing for 40 mins and with 2-3miles of traffic jam left we gave in and went to the beach instead :rotfl:

Hello Dfw  and welcome to the mad house!

I think a day at the beach would of been a perfect day to end a bank holiday! if I didn't have so much [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE]treasure to shift I would of headed over for a day of sand castle building and fish and chips!

Your sister is right you do just get used to it, but these little guys make it so much easier to just get on with it they really are shamazeballs! :A:A I would be lost with out my quirky side kick and alot more ignorant to the world, I really believe Superman came to teach me. :smileyhea or send me grey which ever comes first :rotfl::rotfl:

Nice to "see" you Dfw i hope you make yourself comfortable! I am determined to keep the tumble dryer out the house until at least november.... I may if I'm lucky have money to buy a new one by then!! :o
