  • Unbelievable - Maybe you should suggest that to them... But I still vote to get the MP involved. Poor kid. It is too much for one to handle.

And whilst I seriously sympathise with you and many others regarding your families... my sister is 'the one' where your family are the ones that are the problem. It is why when she cut everyone else off, I cut her off in turn even though she would have kept contact with me. My sister has spent the last 15 years telling anyone who will listen that my dad abused her, my mum burst her eardrums and never took her to the doctors, she was unfed, unwatered, beaten etc. The reason she cut us off, is that she found twitter and a whole host of genuine spoonies who took her under their wing. And she started to write about her 'abusive family', right where my mum got a newsfeed of it, which upset mum terribly. It actually put both of my strong parents on anti-depressants for a long while. The wild accusations were countered by friends she grew up with, not to mention her brothers and sisters and the next we knew we were all cut off while she wrote on twitter how we had all cut her off and she was a sad lonely depressed person, and she got immense support from people who had genuine issues... and thus she continues down her road. Which makes me wonder just how much she has self diagnosed and how much is medically diagnosed but I try not to be that cynical and instead feel deeply sorry for her and sad that my daughter won't ever know her. Then again at the same time I want to protect Jelly from that influence, just as you protected and still protect your children from it...

Swings and roundabouts. Sorry that was a rather random ramble. I just didn't want you to think I was somehow like your family, and rather it is my sister that makes it this way and it doesn't do anyone any good.

As for fighting for DLA, I am yet to meet anyone in this so called society of benefits scroungers who is not in genuine need of the disability benefits they are getting. And so many of them have to fight tooth and nail, just as you are, for a payment that keeps them below the poverty line. It makes me mad. It is why the ones who contact MP's seemingly get things turned around much faster whenever I read it in the news...

Hugs, for you and your lovely family xx

    Dear Mrs H

I know it's a right faff, but in this diary, I hope you are putting checking packets, reassuring her every minute detail...

Agree with others I would contact your MP, and is Professor Graham's words somehow documented even if just on PowerPoint, to send to them.

I am afraid in our society today, we are still second class citizens, who have to fight for what we need.

    Sending more hugs .......
